I was kept waiting for 1 1/2 hours for my doctor. As if my time is not valuable.

Dr Shah, Dr Williams, Dr Barrientez, Courtney, Deann, Sarah and the ladies at the front desk scheduling, the anesthesiologist and the entire team All Every Single One I Love and Appreciate them all. I was diagnosed at Ft Sill with a detached retina and Dr Faulk and his assistant set everything up and got the referral in ASAP at 0830 in the morning that afternoon I was in Oklahoma City AS A Walk On with Dr Shah.performing emergency surgery on my right eye by 430 pm.I have nothing but the deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude for all of them they were all instruments in God's plan to keep me from losing my eyesight!!! God Bless All of You!!!!

Do not take your children to Dean McGee. We had staff from multiple districts over 4 years tell us our daughter could not see and we agreed. We did dilated eye exams on our 3 year old and then every year until she was 7. Dr Zepeda told us at our last visit our daughter's vision was fine and her problems were behavioral. We moved to a new state and new school said she needs an exam. We went to the eye doctor and were immediately referred for genetic testing and now have a diagnosis. 4 years we wasted at "The best in OKC". I am sad for all the familes like us that will go undiagnosed under Dean McGee. We were contacted shortly after we wrote this so we could talk with HR to file a formal complaint. However, it's been at least 2 months, we never received the complaint forms and cannot get anyone to call us back.

My 1st visit to Dean McGee eye institute and we were welcomed and checked in as soon as we arrived, once in Dr. Obrian office, the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and kind. My experience was very good and I felt like all the staff and Dr. OBrian were thorough.

Great too see the same issue for years. If you like to get out of school or work and love waiting rooms this is your place! Zero respect for time. Currently sitting in the waiting room for a relative for an hour and a half they haven’t been seen yet.

Due to many eye issues I am a regular at Dean McGee. My experience there w two different capable and caring doctors have been great. I feel safe with their procedures and treatment. I have been a patient there for over 15 years seeing Drs. Khiami and Kingsly which I look forward to seeing later this week. Highly recommend them and this place!!!

I've seen Dr. Melson 3 times in the past two years. Staff has been consistently friendly despite occasionally being swamped with patients. Staff addressed my concerns and did an excellent job getting eye drops in, which tends to be the most difficult part. I had an appointment today that had to be rescheduled due to surgery, but I feel comforted in knowing that the doctors will prioritize patients who need urgent medical attention and procedures. Dr. Melson has been very knowledgeable and was even capable of recognizing a rare disease early on before it could cause serious damage. My only (mild) complaint is that the bathroom door was a bit hard to open for my arthritic hands. Although it's not much of a problem for me, I am worried about how accessible it would be for a patient with greater disability in their upper limbs. Overall, a very good experience regarding the actual medical care, but the building may need a bit of adjustment for accessibility.
