Ou Health Physicians- Metabolic And Bariatric Surgery Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I will update my review post surgery... I came to this clinic via GI referral and PCP referral.. three different times due to 25+ year old bariatric surgery complication... vomiting. This clinic works with a cookie cutter approach, and its difficult for them to see outside the standard need for bariatric surgery. The NP acted as if I lied when I say there are only a few things I can eat and keep down even after three gastric emptying test showed 90% of food left in my stomach at 4 hours... Again, I will update the review post surgery. I finally have gone through their list of requirements even though I am not doing this for the purpose of weight loss. I have still maintained 100 lbs loss from my original gastric surgery 25 years ago. That is not called weight loss failure... it's complication from the original surgery. I hope the clinic starts focusing on true patient centered care and not, all people coming to the clinic are the same regardless of what the scale says. My issues are centered around the weight check-in NP, none of the other staff have challenged anything I have said except her. In closing, the doctors are great, Dr. Fischer and Dr. Meir are both amazing have both offered their time and knowledge to help me decide what is best to help me with the challenges I have. The front desk people are super respectful... stressed at times but go out of their way to help and guide. The insurance person, nutrition specialist and nurse specialist are super helpful and I can't say enough about Dr. Tripp... she should be available for me weekly... I could use her support and guidance through life! ***comments post surgery: great outcomes. Surgery went smoothly and Dr. Fisher was great. Still have no tolerance for the NP but the others are great.

Horrible! Absolutely horrible care. Definitely some of the worst medical care I have ever received. Please research before committing to this WL clinic or doctor. There are better doctors out there.

They have been a great support team and give you all the tools to become a success in your journey.

Great program all around! Love the staff, they are very knowledgeable and understanding! They are very thorough in helping you safely hit your goals and have a safe and successful surgery

I started my journey with OU Bariatric in February 2022 and I had my surgery November 2022! I must say going threw OU was the best decision not only did they help me quit cigarettes cold turkey they also gave me a more healthy longer life to live.Dr.Mier and the whole Bariatric team thank you all for giving my babies longer time to have me here! Ok. First if all my real name is Lawanna Murphy, but they used my Google name on this review..lol....I am extremely grateful for being able to have started the weight loss program for weight loss surgery at OU Bariatric and Metabolic Center as well as for their entire staff, from the office personel and schedulers to all the Doctors and my surgeon, Dr. Fischer! It has been such a long journey of many trips, traveling 4 hrs. each way. They have all been extremely kind, understanding, and patient with me on doing their best to make sure I get the best of care and scheduled within the best of both mine and the physicians' abilities and the doctors are very thorough with keeping up with patients' histories and care! My PRN, Terry Green, has been wonderful as well as my nutritionist, Sara Patel! They have been quick to answer all my questions and address any concerns I have had along the way. Everyone there I've met so far is very knowledgeable in their field of expertise! To me, Bradford, Blake, and Andrea are like family already! They are awesome for being so personable with everyone, and work to fit the needs of everyone coming through the program, especially given that they keep over about 500 patients at once! They are angels on the way through our journey! Thanks guys!❤️❤️❤️

OU Bariatric is wonderful, the staff is so nice and they genuinely care , the office is clean and I definitely recommend , u give them a 10 out if 10

The staff had been very supportive and praying attention to all details of my health before surgery.

I started the program with OKC OU in July 2022 completed everything and had surgery with Dr. Mier November 9th! I do wish after surgery thag we got to see the surgeon himself before 1 month post op but all the stafff have been nice. The hospital stay wasnt all that great due to lack of knowledge of some nurses but my pain was controlled and the binder is the best invention after surgery ask for one! Within 8 days I was able to come off BP meds. Down 21lbs in 3 weeks. Best choice I ever made was getting bypass! My incisions healed up sooo well. Bradford and Andrea are always super kind and helpful!
