List of Ralph B Hester's Reviews
Dr Hester is an excellent Dr. He answered all my questions and informed me of my options and went over them with me. I got step by step instructions for after surgery care.
I don’t think dr hester informed me of all my options prior to surgery. My one year check up was a joke, now I have spots in my right eye and he refused to see me. Said I was band from ever coming back in his office. I gave him a 1 rating because that was as low as the ratings went. Now I will have to find another dr to see what the spots are.
Dr. Hester is patient, kind and professional. I an very pleased.
The office is run like a processing plant. If you need to leave due to long wait times during an appointment then do not expect to reschedule. Dr. Hester will not see you ever again. The Doctor had performed surgery on my right eye and I was preparing for my left eye. The waiting room is packed and during Covid-19 made me uncomfortable. I do not recommend this practice.
appt for mother, receptionist was rude, covered her name badge so that her name could not be reported
Cataract surgery removed cataracts but my vision continues to get worse. He provides minimal information during and after eye exam.
I have gone to doctor Hester for ten plus years, after years of seeing the wrong optometrists, it was doctor Hester who save my eyesight. I had no idea how serious my problem was. He does not have the greatest bedside manner, but he is an awesome doctor and surgeon.
My time is important also!! Self-verified patient of Dr. Ralph B Hester III - Posted on June 19th, 2019 I had my appointment in my calendar as 1450. I work and have to take the whole afternoon off due to my eyes being dilated. When I got to my appointment at 1440 I was told I was supposed to be there at 1400 for some test and then my appointment with Dr Hester was at 1435. I have been a patient for over 10 years and have not been late for any appointments and have always called if I had to change an appointment. I was told they could go ahead and do the test but I would have to reschedule for the doctor. I have sat in this waiting room on many occasions

I was told they could go ahead and do the test but I would have to reschedule for the doctor. I have sat in this waiting room on many occasions waiting 30 to 45 minutes after my appointment time before seeing this doctor. I will have to take another afternoon off in order to make this new appointment. I cannot believe I could not see him. My time is just as important as his time. I guess their is no real reason to be a loyal consumer these days. Very disappointed in this situation. AA.
Once again sitting in the waiting room over a half hour past appointment time. Not the first time either, in the past several visit we have been over an hour past appointment time. However, if your 10 minutes late you get rescheduled, I guess so you can wait your full time at a later date. I think the problem is that they over book so there is no blank time for the doctor. Heaven forbid he should have to waste his valuable time, ours after all is of no value. If your looking for an eye doctor you might want to go elsewhere, I know we are. 11/12/18 UPDATE It appears some of the issues have been addressed. Our waiting time has been reduced. We are getting our appointments for as early in the days as we can, maybe that has helped. Dr. Hester is a good doctor and he has good staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
