I needed a rheumatologist for my Rheumatoid Arthritis problems and I found Dr. Katz! One of the my best experiences with a doctor. Thank again Dr Katz!!

I have been seeing Dr. Katz for over two years. I have a very complicated case and he has been a miracle worker for me. Alice and every single nurse has made my journey to healing that much better. I feel super lucky I have access to such a brilliant Dr. Make the appointment!

Dr. Katz treated me with flat out disrespect for the 3 years that I was his patient. Since switching to a new rheumatologist, I've been diagnosed with lupus and put on medications that are actually helping me. Dr. Katz always tried to put me on muscle relaxants for fibromyalgia, and refused to diagnose me with lupus because of a negative DSDNA result (which isn't always positive for people with lupus). He failed to inform me of the ways that my lupus was affecting my body because he wouldn't take the time to accurately diagnose me, and for that reason I will never recommend him as a doctor.

I had been a patient of Dr. Katz for over 5 yrs. Initially he listened and cared but when his office staff changed so did he. Also, with Medicare, you are treated like trash. Dr. Katz has completely lost interest in his patients care. He just simply doesn’t care anymore, and he along with his staff, have no problem hiding that he does not care. His head nurse Lauren is a terrible human being, she does not belong there, she doesn’t believe in Fibromyalgia. Worst of all are the threats to immediately cut you off your medications, without reason to do so or refuse to renew current medications. Refusing to schedule you for an appointment also is a reflection of his office staff (nasty) when they are tired of you. Suggest you look for someone who cares about your health and you.

Excellent Physician and Staff

After giving me all kinds of blood tests and xrays, Dr. Katz said that I had no arthritis and I should meditate. I had hip pain for 5 months to the point of not being able to bend at all and he told me it was stress. I went to Illinois Bone & Joint Inst. and they did an MRI to find that my vertebrae had arthritis and referred me to a pain specialist. I have now had RFA treatments and am completely pain free! Do not go to Dr. Katz.

Dr. Katz has completely lost interest in his patients care. He just simply doesn’t care anymore, and has no problem hiding that he does not care. No help in finding other doctors,worst of all are the threats to immediately cut you off your medications, without reason to do so.

I was referred to Dr. Katz by my primary physician after test results showed I tested positive for an auto immune disease. I tried calling his office and got his answering service as it was just after 5pm. I left a message with my contact information. I didn't hear anything by the next morning so tried calling at 8:45 and got the answering service again because their office staff was too busy. I left another message and when I had not heard anything two hours later, I gave up and pursued other referrals. Perhaps Dr. Katz is a wonderful doctor but his office staff would have to improve drastically for me to ever try to see him. By the way, I never received a return call. Good luck if you are trying to schedule an appointment with Dr. Katz.
