List of Roy Warren Bankhead's Reviews
My father had an emergency situation that could not wait. Dr. Bankhead took an evening call and arranged to see him asap. The followed up the next day and met scheduled his procedure immediately. I could not have asked for better care. He is kind, compassionate, and has a calm spirit. I highly recommend.
He was way too busy with other things this morning and I felt very rushed. I wish he wouldve walked me through thr surgery more seeing as I have never had surgery before and im anxious. He seemed in a hurry to get on to the next patient. I left feeling confused and I really needed a more thorough consultation. He was in a rush to get on to the next patient and i left feeling dissapointed. Maybe he is taking on too many patients??? I still am not sure of even the name of the surgery that im having. It was a big let down. I really needed more attention but he was in a big hurry.
I love dr Bankhead. He takes the anxiety out of visits for me. He’s so calm and well spoken. Anything I want to try he is completely up for. He listens to what I’ve learned and know about my condition which is so rare to find.
never get a surgery from him left worse than i came
Dr. Bankhead is a spineless person. My grandpa got hospitalized due to his lack of communication and willingness to do what is right. AND THEN he won't even come talk to them in person at the hospital. He just tells the nurses what to do. My grandpa is a talker but that is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to shy away from giving him the proper care. Do not go to this urologist or you or your loved ones may have to deal with a situation like this.
Dr. Bankhead and entire staff were very upfront honest and professional. I had a somewhat negative experience with a dr before I went to his office he did in three days what had been drug out for over a month by the other dr. He also checked on me before my procedure personally on a Saturday by phone..wow wish there were more like him.If u have a complex situation like I did he’s the one to call .Thanks Doc. Bankhead
He was called in on my case. The hospital doctor called him on a Friday morning , he was out of town with a family emergency, he answered the phone and spoke to my family and I about my condition. Was pleased with bedside manner and will have surgery with him doing the surgery. Very informative.
Honestly, I definitely won't trust this doctor again. I had my first kidney stone in Nov of 2019, and had to have it surgically removed due to unable to naturally pass it. Bankhead, didn't keep/analyze the stone. (Said he doesn't see a need too.) even though I wanted to be aware of what it was. Placed a stent after the removal and said there would be a string. After stent insertion, pain became more unbearable and had to be removed ASAP, and there was definitely no string at all to be pulled. After seeing a second urologist, they said the stent was placed incorrectly at the time. Overall, a horrible experience.
Dr. Bankhead and staff are excellent. They are attentive to your needs—and work with a sense of urgency when caring for you. I had to see Dr. Bankhead because of a dreaded kidney stone—which resulted in me having to have it removed with a uteroscopy procedure. I was nervous! However, Dr. Bankhead and staff made sure I was comfortable and even called to check on me several times after the procedure. Thank you all for making a scary experience as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Made one visit to his Bethany office after being referred by Canadian Valley ER. The one visit was enough, I found a good urologist that I’m happy with. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
