List of Steven Mark Sullivan's Reviews
The best oral maxillofacial surgeon hands down. My functional and aesthetic results are perfect after my TJR and Lefort. His team is amazing and cared for me like I was their own daughter. I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else for this surgery.
This was the worst experience ever. The way my 15 yrs has been treated thru process has been awful.
I came to Dr. Sullivan after many failed treatments for my TMJ issues. I didn’t know at the time that my joints were severely resorbed, which led to significant jaw recession and airway obstruction. From the first communication, he and his staff have always been incredibly kind and understanding, and I never felt like they were just trying to sell me something, unlike a lot of past providers. I had bilateral total TMJ replacement, 3 piece lefort 1 with bone grafts, genioplasty, and a bunch of other things with Dr Sullivan in Nov 2022. It was not an easy surgery given how much lower jaw advancement I needed, but he did an incredible, beautiful job. Knock on wood I’ve had zero complications and have healed very well. I can breathe and sleep better than I have in decades. I’ve been able to eat things I haven’t been able to for years. I have the energy again to work my very physically demanding job. And it doesn’t hurt that he restored my face to how I would have looked without the degenerative joint disease. Seriously, I don’t know what kind of wizardry he did in the OR, but I am incredibly happy with my results - functional and aesthetic. I can’t thank him and his team enough.
He tricked me into a totally unnecessary bilateral joint replacement. He put my lower jaw 2 mm ahead of upper jaw and a total of 7mm ahead of my nose. I look like an ape with no functional bite. His practice is a joke.

I saw Dr Steven Sullivan and can't recommend him enough. He is very personable, knowledgeable, and makes you feel comfortable despite a potentially scary procedure ahead. In fact, the whole staff was great. Elda in reception is an absolute sweetheart, and took every path to get me seen. She is a joy to work with on the phone, so helpful and cheerful. Only love to this crew!
I had a Lefort I and BSSO orthognathic surgery with Dr. Sullivan last year. He did a horrible job with my jaw and occlusion. I went from a minor underbite to a 2.5mm crossbite. One side of my teeth still don't touch midline is off. My cheek are still numb. Big regrets.
The aesthetic and medical result was worse. The cost was exorbitant. Mid 40s female. He gave me a giant jawline and made me look masculine. He left my chin sticking out past the distance of my nose by 6mm. He gave me an overly wide chin and odd scoop appearance to the chin. A surgeon who later removed chin hardware said one of the plates was on backwards! He widened my face so much that my eyes appear super small now. He over-rotated me counter clockwise. He promised a 9 degree occlusal plane but I ended up with 0. This resulted in a concave, caved in appearance which made me look way older.

I have massive nerve damage after a double jaw surgery. Dr Sullivan denied everything, but a neurologist has confirmed Sullivan cut my lingual nerves.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
