Amazing care, great surgeon! So glad I was referred to her for my breast cancer surgery! She helped me with identifying and actually contacting the oncologist and radiological oncologist. Can’t say enough good things about her

Dr. Shavney ruptured my appendix when taking it out and then lied...She said it was not rupture right after the nurse told us it was. When me or my family asked her she would say it didn’t rupture. Bottom line is it did rupture and she sent me home where a massive infection grew inside me. Started on my liver, ate a hole in my diaphragm and infected my right lung. I almost died before I got to the hospital. While in the hospital after having surgery on my liver and lung, she snuck into my room while my family was not there and tried to coach me a what to say to keep her out of trouble...not sure what the point of that was because by then everyone knew my massive infection was from the ruptured appendix. Dr Shavney should not be operating on anyone.

Dr Shavney saved my life....After being in Deaconess hospital and getting inferior care , Dr Shavney was called in..They located my problem and she preformed surgery to correct it..

Great surgeon. She has done 2 outpatient procedures on me and was excellent both times. Very knowledgeable, informative, and funny. Talks you through the procedures and doesn't mind taking the extra time with you to make you feel at ease. She is great!

She performed a bilateral mastectomy on me and although I informed her I had no intention of ever having reconstruction, she did a skin sparing procedure that looks horrible. I wanted to be flat, but she left me disfigured, with huge flaps of skin that over the years have developed fat necroses and lumpy adhesions. She never arranged follow up or gave post op instructions. I would never recommend her for any medical procedure.
