Noone cares. It’s always someone else’s fault. Stop and get drinks and snacks before you get here. Most vending is broken. Been 8 hours for a ct and no results yet. I’m insured , doesn’t matter
Just spent 5 days here. And I have 2 complaints that compared to the care and help I got aren’t worth mentioning. The staff from Dr’s all the way down to the guy that wheeled me down stairs was amazing! Way to go 7th floor!!
Let me begin by saying I was very skeptical of delivering here because of the reviews I’d read prior to being admitted. The overall score was a 2. However I’d like to provide a review of my experience as it was completely opposite of what I’d read. First off the facility is clean I didn’t see “blood anywhere” the staff has been nothing but kind, helpful and informative. I allowed students to attend all my pre and post opp visits and these people are just wonderful human beings. I haven’t met not one nurse, doctor, physician or staff member that has treated me poorly. I have never felt so calm and comfortable in a hospital. I had a lot of anxiety about delivering via c-section prior to this experience and I feel very calm, welcome and herd. If I have another baby someday I will Come back. I would highly recommend OU Children’s. Thank you guys again for taking excellent care of both myself and my little.
Best hospital I've been to in Oklahoma. Had many doctors helping me and they helped me so much.
Candice & Eli are phenomenal recruiters. They are definitely knowledgeable, attentive, great listeners etc! Thanks for all your help
I was scheduled for a MRI. I spoke with 6 different employees in so many different departments and not a single person could tell me how much an out of pocket MRI is, give me a procedure code, or even tell me my copay amount. I have insurance, but I asked for a ballpark amount. They transferred me to the insurance/registration dept. who couldn't even tell me my deductible, even though I had the info pulled up on the BCBS portal... I spoke with radiology billing, hospital billing, patient/provider resources, financial services... and still, no one could help me. I have no idea how this hospital is functioning when none of their employees know anything and/or know who to send you to for answers.
nurses we very nice.
My dad was in a semi accident and transported here to the ER and then to the 5th floor. This is not a reflection of the ER or ICU where he ended up. First and foremost the nurses on the fifth floor falsify records. His charting (according to Katrina the supervisor) said they came in every hour and all of his meds were administered on time. We saw the nurses maybe twice a day and my family was up there the entire week. Hours would pass before he would get pain meds. Hours would pass before we could even get ice. My family and I ended up finding where everything was on the floor and doing it ourselves. Aside from that, after his car wreck they let him sit an entire day without wrapping his broken bones or even icing him. They let him sit 5 days in his room with blood in his lungs without doing anything about it. So during one of his surgeries there was a complication because of a hematoma and he began to bleed out. He spent two days in the ICU where his condition improved. After one day back on the 5th floor and again complete negligence on the part of the nursing staff, he began bleeding out in the middle of the night and is getting worse again. We didn’t have a choice in hospitals, we’re from Kansas and this is where the ambulance brought him. DO NOT COME HERE FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT. THEY WILL IGNORE YOU. THEY WILL ROLL THEIR EYES AT YOU. THEY WILL BE RUDE. THEY WILL NEGLECT YOU AND FALSIFY RECORDS. THEY WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH. Again, this is 5th floor trauma. ER and ICU were great. The problem is they send you to the 5th floor to die.
The nursing staff was great they did everything in there power to accommodate me and my antic's I love em to death the food on the other hand wasn't so good
OU hospital Edmond and OKC is a nightmare. They must be held responsible for very bad medical care..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
