Dr. Birdsong presented nothing like the negative reviews left by pts . After reading the reviews I almost cancelled my appointment. I decided to judge for myself. He was kind empathetic and listened to me. He removed my gallbladder without complication. I would highly recommend Dr. Birdsong.

Very pleased with Dr. Birdsongs genuine approach and understanding with my personal concerns.

Awful I wish I would have read some of the reviews above before our appointment. All these things are true and I hate to think how he treats the elderly. His staff is amazing but he totally fat shamed us. Blamed my sons puking for 2 months after every meal and pain on my cooking. Said all of our health issues are because we are fat. Called the doctor who referred us for gall bladder removal due to ultrasound results and idiot. Do not go to this guy...avoid him unless you want to leave in tears.

I understand why some patients thought Dr. Birdsong was rude but he really isnt. Hes VERY blunt and outspoken. But if taken in the right frame of mind he really is a good person. And his skills are excellent so I would recommend him but with a warning to expect a brash individual. Any person who loves dogs cant be a bad person.

Well this doctor ordered a prescription from a mail order service for after surgery. Sent my 80 year old mother home with NO pain medication after a hernia surgery. We spent several hours trying to get her some medication to no avail. DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL

Hes definitely a no nonsense Dr. He will tell you what he thinks whether you want to hear it or not... But he saved my life...

Extremely rude arrogant and very condescending. Very argumentative. If he EVER finds out you even thought about smoking.... You are in for a 30minute degrading lecture. He blames everything that life has on smoking.... 2 hernias gall bladder sagging skin etc. I left crying. It seemed to please him. Why is this person still practicing ? I was forced to give one star to be able to rate this animal.

He did my daughter’s surgery. He was rude and arrogant as if any question for him was a waste of his time. He spent so little time with us prior to surgery or after surgery that I couldn’t even identify him in a line up if I had to. He didn’t care about the patient’s pain or anything. We were told he “was doing us a favor” by squeezing her surgery in. His staff is just as bad. Called to set up a post op appt and was give. The third degree about my daughter’s last name being different than mine even though my name is all over her paper work etc. I’d take her to a veterinarian for a post op before I set foot in that office or dealt with him or his staff again.

Never again He was assigned to my daughters surgery through the ER. He was rude arrogant and acted like any questions that we asked were stupid. He was too busy to introduce himself prior to surgery. He suggests tylenol for pain relief following surgery instead of giving real pain meds. Had to go to the ER to get my her Tramadol after 2 requests for him to give her something. He acted like he was doing me a favor by doing my daughters surgery like he was the only one who could do it.
