Dr. Metcalf embodies the highly trained skills and the excellent communication skills of an upper echelon physician. When conducting a procedure, she is deft, skillful and 'almost stealth' as her knowledge is evident of every part of the protocol she is performingand she finishes before you expect. She communicates in a manner that demonstrates great listening skills and the ability to synthesize and respond to the patient's needs. Her demeanor is professional and empathetic, confidence inspiring and caring.

I went in to see Dr. Metcalf preemptively since skin cancer has a history within my family and I didn't wear sunscreen the first part of my life. Upon meeting her, I felt at ease. She asked what family members had a history of skin cancer and then explained what type of exam we would be doing that day. A full body exam seems scary to think about, but Dr. Metcalf was kind and professional. I was more comfortable than I thought I would be with someone looking me over from head to toe. Literally! She checked from my scalp all the way to the bottom of my feet. Afterwards, she asked about the blemishes that are along my jaw, neck, back, and chest. After discussing, we decided to try a medication to help. I didn't expect attention to be paid to my adult acne, as my main concern was cancer spots and I've had breakouts since forever, but I'm really glad that she offered something to assist with it! I'm proud to say I will be recommending her to friends and family in the area for dermatology.

Dr. Sara Metcalf is the ultimate professional. She is extremely personable and knowledgeable. She makes it easy to discuss concerns with her and explains everything she finds, the treatment she recommends, and answers in detail any questions I have. I have complete faith in her and Stillwater is fortunate to have a topnotch Dermatologist of her caliber. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never had to wait an unreasonable length of time to see her, even though I realize that is always a possibility when seeing any doctor due to unforeseen issues that may arise. I appreciate her taking the time to discuss and answer any of my questions, and would never want her to rush through any of her appointments to stay “on schedule”.
