Hillcrest Hospital South's Online Review Report Card

I have been utilizing Hillcrest South for several years now and I continue to be impressed. After experiencing several serious health issues over the past year, I am just so thankful to the many clinicians that have made these visits more tolerable.Val in Radiology helped me so much this week to be able to get a much needed test for a diagnosis. She made me realize how many caring clinicians that I have encountered at Hillcrest South over the years without me ever giving them the credit they truly deserve. Even the lady that cleans the bathrooms would greet me with a smile every day when I showed up for cardiac rehab.So many employees, each making their little corner of Hillcrest South a great place, deserve a huge shout out. As always the service at Hillcrest south is on point! Busy night but for their staff customer service always upheld ! Thank you Ruby RN and Corrie ultrasound tech and Dr McCarroll for your dedication and excellent customer service as well as all other staff !

As most are saying service sub-par.  Not to mention the cost.  1 star is way to good zero or negative stars would be necessary to rate all aspects of service from treatment to billing.

The nursing staff went above and beyond they were great. They listen and they came when I called, they were very knowledgeable I have never received such Greatttt care. I would highly recommend Hillcrest South. Everyone from check in to doctors to nurses and cleaning staff. I had read the review on this hospital before my surgery and didn't like what I read. I here to tell you they were not actuate at all Please don't let a few incorrect review sway you This hospital is one of the best in Tulsa. I Would go back and highly recommend this hospital I was here for major surgery on the 20th of May and stayed 2 days in the ortho ward 5th floor  and if you end up on the 5th floor tell them Cindy sent you to the bast hospital ever.

As a healthcare worker I was very disappointed in the care of my nana. She was not offered a shower for two days. When I got there I washed her hair and gave her a bed bath myself. While cleaning her there was still stool on her from a previous accident that she had and she also had a stage 1 bed sore that no one had addressed. Clearly the staff here does not overlook there patients at admission very well at all. I changed her bedding and dressed her wound myself. There was also several times the staff claimed to have taken her to the bathroom but didn't which shows why my nana had so many accidents leading to the furthering of her skin breakdown. When our nana told us her requests for the bathroom were ignored the staff tried to portray her as not being all there mentally when she is. We are very angry and disappointed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!

Today at like 4am I woke up with excruciating pain in my lower right abdomen and back. I’m 28 weeks pregnant, so of course I was a little freaked out. I got to the hospital shortly after, and up to labor and delivery. I was seen immediately, and they listened to my concerns. They ran a lot of test to make sure me and baby were okay. I ended up just having sciatic nerve and ligament pains, but they made sure we were well taken care of and all concerns were addressed! I can’t for the life of me remember the first nurses name (so sorry 😣), but when shift change came, Robin was my second nurse. Excellent staff in outpatient surgery. You can tell they really enjoy working together. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. They treated us like family.

Four people stuck me 6x bc they could not find a vein, even after I told them to use a butterfly. They said bc I was too dehydrated. A nurse practitioner hit a nerve and I still have nerve pain. After x-rays said nothing was wrong did Not rehydrate me, but gave me a shot for pain and sent me home. This visit cost me $10,988.46.

I’ve been in the hospital here three times and I’ve had nothing but good experiences. ER every time and they got me right in. I did have to stay in ER room awhile until my room was ready, but over all it’s been great treatment.!

5 day stay. Day1- E.R. to Rm. 20 hrs. had to beg for food with surgery 18 hrs. away! Night nurse called 5 times, no one came 6th time called I was LAUGHED at & told I should be asleep! Everyday more disappointments: Meds never right, only 1 shower, long waits for help to toilet & for water. Was I to check on my own oxygen?? after hip surgery !! 2 empty oxygen tanks & no oxygen concentrator for 2 days!! Water in the oxygen tubing, which I didn't know was bad for me & my COPD. Went home with coughing, etc. received Antibiotic Script from my Primary Physician AND the list goes on. Although the day nurse was 5 star & the 2 star night nurse started bringing me 5 star mashed potatoes! The Aid - 1 star for things like: admiring herself in the mirror while I'm waiting for her to help me to the toilet! She wrapped a bandage so tight that 12 hrs. later, after being discharged, my hand looked like a balloon! Employees aiding me, that don't take precautionary measures! They obviously don't even know why I need help. Hospital staff asked if I would like my Covid Booster &/or my Flue Shot. I answered "YES", never gave me the shots. I did get tested 3 times for Covid! Neg. I could keep going on & on about reasons why my stay at Hillcrest Hospital South was a nightmare, but, I am home it last! I would not wish my hospital experience on anyone!5 day stay.
