Dr. Calava is great but--his receptionist can lie to you with a smile on her face. She assures you she will call to give you an appt. after she talks to Dr.Calava. You wait all day in severe pain, but no call. Very unprofessional! Don't waste your time.

I have been seeing Dr Calava since 2004. I was referred by my surgeon and was so glad he put me in touch with Dr Calava. I have always been treated with the doctors full attention on me and my issues. Not every dr has a good side bed manner. Not every doctor talks to you in language you can understand. And not every doctor gives you his full attention. Dr Calava does all of this and more. He knows his patients well. And has always listened to my concerns. I feel blessed to be his patient and to have him always look out for what is best for me as an individual. I believe all his patients feel this way. May God bless you Dr. Calava, thank you for each and every visit, thank you most of all for caring for me as a patient and believing in your oath of a physician.

Without Dr. Calava I would not be able to walk or have a life worth living. I even took my Mom to him. He listens and pays attention, he is honest, tells you what he can and can't do. His staff is kind and very friendly. I highly recommend him.

My husband and I both are patients of Dr. Calava. He is a very caring provider who takes the time to listen to your symptoms. All of his staff are very friendly and gets us right in when we call for an appointment. His office is very nice and very clean. I would highly recommend Dr. Calava if your having chronic pain issues.

If I could rate with no stars I would. He got me hooked on Oxycontin with levels going higher every month then all of a sudden said he wouldn't see me anymore. I almost died (literally) and had to suffer through a month and a half of severe withdrawal. How can a doctor do like that?

You will be in more pain by just attempting to schedule an appointment with him. Go into someone who actually wants your business. Skip this guy.
