John W Ervin's Online Review Report Card

I am happy that i have found a VBAC dr that supports me in my decision and i love my Dr. However, one thing i dont like is that the office is unorganized. Sometimes i worry if i get records faxed over if they will get scanned in my chart or get lost. The MA told me they didnt get my lab records. But the Dr said they did. And my previous OB said they did fax it. When it came for a referral to be faxed to a specialist. I hadnt got a call for weeks. So i called to check and referral specialist told me they were waiting on labs from my former OB. I never got a call about this until i decided to call to check. Very frustrating. I wish thered be more communication and organization. Other than that, I give them 5 stars on my delivery. I had 2 c sections in past and tried for a VBAC and I had a successful VBAC because the doctors were awesome and supported my decision but were also constantly monitoring me to make sure baby and I were okay. The Nurses were great. They put me in different labor positions to help baby keep moving and thanks to all their help and care I was able to have a successful VBAC. Thank you Nurses and Doctors!

I am not a fan of the womanly exam lol and I dreaded this one, especially knowing the Dr was a man! Dr Erving was amazing! He completely almost instantly put me at ease by joking and creating a relaxed atmosphere. Him and his nurse both are the best! There was no embarrassing moment at all and for that, I was truly grateful! 😊

I had two encounters with dr John Ervin, one before I had my baby and one the day after I had him. Both were absolutely terrible. This man has no bed side manner, no empathy for you, and makes you feel hopeless. He told me I needed to go home and have sex in front of several people. He just had a terrible attitude.

Dr Ervin is the best doctor I have ever had. He has a way of explaining things to you that put you at ease. To include drawing pictures - which is refreshing and takes the edge off when your nervous. my self and both of my daughters have seen Dr. Ervin as patients. I had to have critical life saving surgery that I was scared to death to have and after a few visits Dr. Ervin was able to put me at ease I was still nervous but Dr. Ervin was there with me every step of the way. Dr.Ervin saved my life. He was the ER GYN on call. He did not give up until he found the problem. When I had my surgery he expected the worst but did not let me feel his apprehension. My whole experience with him and his nurses was amazing!!

Best OB/GYN ever! He delivered my son back in 2012 and he'll be delivering my daughter this summer. He has amazing bedside manner and is completely upfront about everything. He answers all my questions honestly. And his staff is amazing as well. The old staff was awesome too. As far as the circumcision goes, he did my son's in 2012 and yes he did ask for cash up front because the hospital wouldn't do it and insurance wouldn't cover it and the price he asked for was less than half of what it actually costs. He's a great doctor!

Dr.Ervin has been my doctor for three deliveries, he is a straight forward doctor, caring and great bed side manner. He really cares about the patient and looks out for the patients best interest. To the people that say he is out for the money and that he mad you arrive a half hour early and never told you what you medical history meant, he needs to examine you first......i consider doc family not just my OBGYN.
