Even after checking on insurance coverage with his office that showed a no cost exam, I was charged $25 extra because he likes to do retinal imaging. The insurance company said it was unnecessary and that dilation would have accomplished the same thing without the additional charge. His office did not give me the no additional charge option and also did not put the additional charge on what was submitted to the insurance company. Whether something is covered or not everywhere I ever went submitted all charges. Why didn't they?
