List of Shashi Husain's Reviews
Dr Husain is VERY helpful with our issues. She is professional and kind, sometimes a hard thing to do when dealing with head injuries. Her staff is the same way making us feel very comfortable.
Dr. Husain wanted to diagnose me without running tests. Also the lab at the clinic went to lunch 45 minutes early meaning I was going to have to wait 2 hours to get labs done. Do not go here, your health is worth more than 1 star
I disagree with the majority of reviews. I have suffered chronic migraine for over 30 years. I have been to so many doctors and still had not found anyone that could help me. (Suffering as many as 19-20 migraines a month). I was referred to Dr. Husain 2+ years ago. She is the ONLY doctor that ever really listened and was serious about helping me. She didn't require me to start from square one again. I did exactly what she told me to do and take the medications I need to and my quality of life has increased dramatically! She pursued my insurance to finally approve me for botox therapy, as well. I am so grateful to have found her. She is definitely no nonsense and that's not for everyone, but I appreciate it. As for the staff...I think they are great. They are always sweet and helpful. I would refer anyone to this office without hesitation. Only downside, sometimes there is a long wait, which happens anywhere and that is not always the fault of the staff/doctor.
I was referred to her by the VA for dizziness, she kept insisting on me taking a medication that I had been using for several years that no longer worked, she doesn’t listen and act like a medical professional should and only wants to prescribe medications that have strong side effects. She wasted my time (and tax dollars) on me getting an MRI, that was no different than one I had done just before seeing her. Although I have never in my life indicated being depressed to a Dr, she insisted on prescribing an antidepressant which I didn’t take-thanks for putting that on my VA list of meds. She’s rude, looks like a Klingon and acts like one.
Gotta be on of the rudest doctors I’ve ever interacted with
Took my mom to her appointment and we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room just to see the doctor. When we FINALLY did get in to see the doctor, she had such a bad attitude towards us and said she needed unnecessary tests done before she would renew her prescription! Not a pleasant experience by any means. Don't waste your time with this doctor.
My appointment was a couple of years back, I was sent by the VA she was Late and Rude. First thing she did was to order a drug screen, I asked her why, she said she needed to know what I was really on because the “Vets lie”. I walked out past the lab and called VA for new referral. I’m reviewing now because I had to switch Neurologists again and this one was still on the list, VA said they are trying to get her removed from their referral system because of how many complaints they get about her and her office
Honestly, if there were zero stars, that's what she'd get. Not only did I find the office very unprofessional, I was chastised each appointment that I usually waited an hour longer than my appointment time for. I had a bad reaction to a medication she prescribed and told her about it. Her reaction was to say she knew what to do if I became one of those patients. My reaction to the medication was throat swelling.
Worst professional experience of my life. The doctor is late, extremely rude, and doesn't even show up to her own appointments! She gives you two minutes of her time, while you spent your whole day waiting for her and her rude, unorganized staff. On more than one occasion, they never called for their "virtual appointments". Important to note as well, the doctor is unorganized with her patients, as she has to ask them what they did last time. Husain is also splendid at prescribing her patients with medicine and never asking about it again. Please save your money, time, and energy and go to a medical professional that doesn't cut you off every time you speak and a front-end staff that knows what they're doing.
I have to give one star in order to review. The entire office is awful! I’m also taking the time to review after also reading other reviews and finding I’m not out of line or singled out! I seriously thought maybe I did or said something to invoke this awful treatment, that statement in itself is wrong also! I am the patient! The hurt patient! I did NOTHING wrong other than stand up for myself re not putting up with being treated awful. They acted like I didn’t have an appointment re a referral AT MY ACTUAL APPT I had waited for for several months! Then, they sent me into the appt with none of my mri results! I have no idea how this office is still operating. Once I was in the dr exam room, the nurse told me that her office gets really annoyed by dealing with the different Indian tribes (WHO PAY FOR MY VISIT!) it was insane! I was so happy just to finally be there that I had no idea how to respond to her already highly unprofessional behavior over the phone, actually in the office and then that in the exam room. Once the dr walked in I had ZERO faith in her as a professional re her staff. She did a short cognitive and physical test and asked some questions then advised I should have mris done. LADY! My mris have been taken and that’s why I’m here! So she leaves to get this info and I’m back in the waiting room. I get handed a prescription note to have a lumbar puncture next .. no reason why! No info on what was seen on my mri ... she is too old to still be in practice! I read a bad review that specifically mentioned Candy at the front desk ,. Just wanted to note she was the only one who stepped up to help me at one point. Nicole was AWFUL on 3 different occasions over the phone, face to face and privately in the exam room. None of these experiences make any sense. NONE. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
