Awful!! My 14 year old daughter saw him for back pain. He ordered an MRI which apparently he never looked at because he diagnosed something that was not there. He told me she had 2 herniated disks and sent her for weeks of physical therapy. When she didn't get any better, I took her to another orthopedic doctor who looked at the MRI scan on the computer with us. He was shocked that her spine was COMPLETELY normal - absolutely no herniated disks at all!! The new doctor thinks Dr. Kern never looked at the MRI. It was obvious to anyone that she had no herniated disks, so I don't know how he arrived at that diagnosis. He was also very condescending and rude to me.
