Tulsa Surgery Center's Online Review Report Card

I had a surgery Dec 2020 at this facility. After being told this facility took extra COVID-safe precautions by requiring a COVID test before surgery and family members were to wait in their car. This did not happen. Poorly masked , coughing family members were allowed in the waiting room, pre-op,and post-op areas.The nursing staff in post-op area was the worst I have ever seen.The administrator I spoke with tried to blame COVID exhausted staff , while I explained that I believe this is when we tried harder, and do better.I will never go back to this facility again. I would give it a zero if I could.

While in recovery my daughter was extremely upset and in a lot of pain. She is 5 and understandably did not know why she was hurting. She kept complaining her throat hurt. My husband was asking the recovery nurse if they could give her something for her pain and she said they already had. Then he wanted to know what they would send her home on for pain. The nurse got very defensive as if he was a druggy trying to get pain meds. My daughter was adamant her throat hurt. Finally after spend a few minutes arguing with the nurse my husband went to the car. The nurse then got a nurse who was higher rank then her once my husband left. Her exact words were "the dad is very upset we are not sending pain medication home". Again making it sound like he was mad he couldn't get his hands on pain meds. It was completely inappropriate and out of line. My daughter is still crying her throat hurt. Then both these nurses stood there telling me as long as they have been there they have never known a Dr sending a child home on pain meds which is absolutely not true because all 3 of my sons were sent hone with 1 done of liquid meds following their surgery they basically stood there and mocked me and my husband. Not once did they attempt to look in my daughters mouth to see if there was something wrong with her throat. We took her home and looked inside her mouth once she was calmer because she was still complaining it hurt. She had cuts in the lack of her mouth probably from being incubated and the cuts were probably one of the reasons she was hurting so bad. We were treated badly in my opinion. The nurses did a terrible job in my opinion. My daughter should have gotten better care. Instead of the nurses wasting their time profiling the parents

RML took my blood. The lady was awesome. I dint even feel it. Rubis is a great surgeon. The staff before and after surgery were great. The nurse that gave me my iv was the best I've ever had. It took me a long time to wake up. They were very patient and didn't push me to wake up. Its very comforting and not stressful when they give you time to wake up.Oh,, the lady that checked me in was friendly and very nice. Thank you to everyone that helped me.

Had cataract surgery. Excellent services from the front desk staff to the nurses.

In all honesty I find this place a joke. They say they have policies of this an that. But yet they are no where to be found on the website, or the paperwork I signed before taking my child here. An the policy I do see is a printed off copy of something a lady just slightly showed me.. an I couldn't even read it. If this policy was so set in stone why wasn't it in the 3 different types of paperwork I signed. Sorry don't trust it. Oh, an not to mention Brittany the RN basically said I was stupid cause it was a common sense thing.. I'd definitely get a second opinion.

Regarding a procedure done here referred by Super Smiles and performed by their staff.5 hours agoHow can I rate a negative 1000??? DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!! Below my review are jusy a few reviews that I have copied and pasted but I did that to show I am not the only one that this has happend to (yes there are even more then the ones I pasted below). My son went in for two filling, and left with 8, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I only authorized two cavity caps/crowns and fillings to be done on other teeth if needed, NOT more crowns. I didn't say it was okay for anything else to be done. Now my son has six more caps then I consented to. This happened today, this morning. I have went back to sign a medical release with the oral surgery center so I can get thr records and X-rays once finalized in there office.When I went back today the Administrator Alex said he would be calling me or the physician would be calling me so I am still waiting for a call back. Now my son has caps on 8 of his teeth, six of them are unauthorized and caps are irreversible! The technicians said it must have been a misunderstanding. ITS MORE THAN THAN THAT. I WILL GET TO THE BOTTM OF THIS. My child will not be a victim of am easy payday for this dentiststry. I was beyond shocked when Dr.Hanh Dang came into the waiting room and said that there were 9 caps (tech said 8) that they had done and giggled it off when I said I didn't know that they were doing that many because I didn't agree to that. It's a fun place for kids in there office with all the games and jungle gyms, and the staff is friendly but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a second opinion when it comes to them doing anything to your child's teeth. I did not get that option because they did whatever they pleased without me knowing. I dont think there was anything I could have done to avoid them doing this other than not taking my child there at all. They did not follow the plan of care. AGAIN, DONT COME HERE. I will make an updated review with how they choose to handle this, I am still waiting for medical records and a call back!Jennifer Ratliff-TownerJennifer Ratliff-Towner1 reviewa month agoHygienists talked more about her upcoming surgery & problems than my kid's mouth. The doctor spoke down to me, again, in front of my kids. She also claimed she was going to fill cavaties without numbing my kid's mouth. It's obvious they are just in it for the $$. They told us my son needed 3 crowns. This raised some questions in my mind since we always have his teeth checked every 6 months and he didn't have a history of having any cavities. We ended up taking him to our family dentist (along with the xrays they had taken) and he confirmed that he didnt have any cavities at all!2Quint SanchezQuint Sanchez17 reviews · 1 photo10 months agoI wont be going back this place is terrible i was told my daughter needed to get caps i never was sure she needed it for real i should have gotten another opinion after reading so many other similar reviews i feel so bad she had to go through that and maybe not have need it ! I decided to wait to have anything done because she has a lot of anxiety. Six months later I took her back for a cleaning and they told me she now had eight. They wanted me to schedule her at the surgery center for 8 fillings. I was skeptical so I took her elsewhere for a second opinion. Guess what? No cavities! None!!! Bunch of shysters.

Had foot surgery on Feb 13th, 2019 and everyone from the front desk to the nurses , anesthesiologists were nothing short of amazing and caring . Thank You to all

Friendly staff, super clean, very accommodating and great doctors.

I have taken two of my young kids here to have their cavities filled and it's always been a pleasant experience. There's toys for them to play with in the waiting area as well as complimentary coffee. The nurses took great care of them and made them feel comfortable, not scared. The only thing that bothered me was after the surgery, they refused to give them anything to take for the pain, which is something they have previously done. My daughter is 6 and doesn't have much of a pain tolerance and cried for the rest of the day about the pain despite me giving her OTC Tylenol and Motrin. It's a shame that some people who abuse these medications ruin it for those who don't. Other than that, I really liked this office.
