Dr. Strnad delivered my two children and had a great experience the first time around! My second pregnancy had a lot more physical complications and anxiety and she was very unhelpful. No help was offered and I was even told that other patients had it worse than I. After I had my second, I had terrible postpartum depression and anxiety and she offered no help. I had to see a new doctor to finally receive the help I desperately needed. I loved her nurse, but the billing department is a joke and reception is always rude and unhelpful. I would never recommend anyone to this practice.

You will notice a trend about her condescending remarks to patients with weight issues. I experienced this as well. Despite seeing her for several years she always used a speculum that caused me pain despite me telling her it was painful. A caring dr would have made a note and tried not to cause pain on an annual basis.
I was seeing Dr. Strand and after a horrible year she made a comment about my weight. Not only was she rude when I called to get an appointment but they also now want to charge you $125 the first visit for a new pregnancy. Also, need to add that the receptionist that I talked to was rude as well. I have now switched obgyn but I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone as they try to nickle and dime you but also have to comments constantly about weight.
Dr. Strnad always makes me feel more than comfortable in her office, and she really empathizes with me as I’ve come in a few times a little worried about my health. I couldn’t ask for a better OBGYN. She truly cares, and I’m lucky to have that.

She has delivered 2 of my children. First child was smooth sailing. The second child was not so easy. She walked us through the whole process and helped us navigate the waters of our daughter’s prenatal diagnosis of Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) and congestive heart failure. She took every precaution and went above and beyond to care for our family. Her nurse is a rockstar too. We are extremely thankful to have such an amazing group medical professionals!
I think Dr. Strnad is a friendly and decent doctor if your needs are pretty cut & dry. As my pregnancy became more complicated in my third trimester, I didn't feel like things were explained to me clearly and I had to get a lot of my information from the internet Looking back, I also had quite a few risk factors for PPD. I was never once given a mental health screening or even asked about my mood. She is very responsive to emails and phone calls, so that's a plus.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Strnad for years and couldn’t be happier. She’s always made herself available to me and has called me herself with lab results. Highly recommend!
Someone else wrote a google review about her fat shaming but I needed to go to the gyno and decided to give her a chance. But nah, she's really condescending about it. If you want to get patients and retain them, think about how you treat them. She told me my BMI was too high and it should be lower. She assumed I ate poorly, and I told her that I in fact mostly eat veggies and lean meats she didn't believe me, started telling me I should eat less carbs and grains. She then told me then maybe I needed to work out more. My blood work is golden, FYI. Okay cool and what does this have to do with the actual health of my cervix? For the record, Dr's are discriminatory to fat people, and therefore people who are considered overweight get inaccurate and subpar health treatments. Dr's don't spend as much time with them, etc. You know what I care about? Making sure you are ensuring I don't have a lump in my breast because breast cancer runs in my family, not your opinions on my body size. If you think you deserve my money, or other peoples money then treat your patients like humans and give us proper care. Your opinions of how you perceive my health based on the inaccurate scale of a BMI isn't going to be tolerated.

I had gone to this doctor for years and within the last year or so, she became very condescending and dismissive. She actually told me at my last appointment to find another doctor. She also dismissed symptoms that I was having that another OBGYN found to be accurate. I do not recommend her.

This doctor was judgemental and condescending throughout my treatment with her. She seemingly did not believe me during my patient history and made some weird attempt at catching me in a lie. It was so awkward. I never did understand why it even mattered to her to begin with. Then she completely dismissed one of the main reasons I was there to begin with and refused to address it. Then, she completely missed a positive test result which I got in the mail. At the follow up I had to schedule she actually rolled her eyes when she saw me. By now I am thoroughly cowed and starting to think maybe she only wants cut and dry easy patients with no problems. I ask her in the follow up about the lab results and btw could that be part of the issues I’m having and she condescendingly asks me why do I think any of that?- I then say We’ll you sent me this test result! And she said she didn’t know what I was talking about so I had to SHOW her the lab result her office mailed me! There’s too much more to put on here but this humiliating experience finally ended with me being told to find another doctor. Then 3 months later they charged me $25 for an appointment they failed to cancel for me after I reminded her nurse in the office in person to cancel it since they didn’t want me as a patient anymore. Ridiculous!
Dr. Strnad I think is a good doctor, but without having me explain myself on how I’ve had a horrible year with depression and dealing with my weight she proceeded to fat shame me. She made me very self conscious and told me I should lose 20-30 lbs when my own medical doctor told me my weight was of no concern. Not sure what my weight has to do with my feminine health anyway. I will be switching now after 2 years of seeing her.
We have really liked Allison Strnad for my wife's OBGYN. She's kind and listens to everything, and she even came in on her off day to deliver our baby. We're so glad we found her!
Dr. Strand has delivered both of my kiddos as well as my niece and nephew. My entire experience with her my OB AND OBGYN has been top notch. Professional but personal. I recommend her to anyone in need of an OBGYN.
