Brent Godek's Online Review Report Card

I couldn't help but feel he didn't really take the time to find out what was really going on with me. I tried giving him the benefit of doubt but often left feeling like he saw me as a hypochondriac, chalking up my concerns as just Depression or Bipolar Disorder and just recommended antidepressants . I accepted what he said but felt worse as time went on. It wasn't until I moved out of state and started donating blood plasma, that I discovered what was going on. Usually the staff just takes your plasma but this one nurse tookthe time to thoroughly examine me and recognized symptoms of autoimmune disease and told me to get tested; I was diagnosed with Lupus, Sjogrens, later Cardiac Amyloidosis. Before this I also asked Dr. Godek to test me when I kept breaking out on sacrum. He was dismissive abt my concerns and felt I was overreacting and said it was just acne and declined my request to get tested for STDs. Yrs later, I saw a lab, got tested, tested positive for HSV2 ??All these years

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Godek for several years now. He has top-notch bedside manner. He understands what people are going through and knows what to do when they are upset or worried. Real true empathy for people and their problems. He's knowledgeable in his areas of expertise and knows when to refer someone to a specialist when needed. My husband is disabled in a wheelchair with emotional issues. Dr godek is super with him! I am currently helping my mother get stable with several health issues. I wouldn't take her to anyone else. She loved him! I would recommend Dr Godek to anyone!

Dr Godek treated my darling husband and now myself. He always really heard what we were saying and was truly honest. My husband was also very comfortable with his rapport with him. Even at the worst imaginable moments with his terminal diagnosis, Rich and Dr. Godek had exceptional and beautiful discussions and gave Rich a profound comfort Also, I will never forget how he helped me talk and express my feelings and fears and sadness when Rich died. I thank you from the bottom of my heart forever.

Staff - VERY RUDE! Dr. Godek - referred me to a specialist, then ignored the specialists recommendations to get an MRI. Sent me for a neck Xray instead. I was told everything is fine. After changing doctors, my new doctor found issues that Dr. Godek did not find. Issues that are visible on that very neck Xray that Dr. Godek ordered . . . And the MRI I finally received painted a much better picture of my neck problems . . . Dr. Godek as my doc??? NO THANKS YOU!!!!

My overall experience with Dr. Godek and Buckingham Family Medicine was excellent.

Dr Godek has genuine concern about his patients' treatments. I always feel like he takes the time to listen to my concerns and he remains focused on finding the correct diagnosis and plan of care for the issue at hand. He is also very personable and pleasant. Some of the office staff can be hard to deal with at times but a lot of the staff is great.

The office staff, in general, is very poor.... Whether they are too busy or just simply rude - if it weren't for the quality of Dr. Godek I would have gone elsewhere years ago. He is knowledgeable and seems to genuinely care about the discussion of your health.

Finally a Doctor with a personality. He listened and made me feel very at ease. And a good sense of humor (not stiff)

The staff was way to busy to be courteous. Dr. Godek seems knowledgable, but is rushed. He seems to be more concerned about testing, rather than taking a common sense approach to medical practice.
