List of Richard Julyan's Reviews
Dr. Julyan is a great doctor, and takes the time to listen. Not only does he listen to his patients, he is really respectful and caring. One of the best Dr’s I’ve had ever! I really appreciate him and his staff.
Saw Dr Julian 2 months ago with problems urinating all the time.He ordered urinalysis next day nurse called said everything all right puzzled me was still having problems recently went to emergency room for major pain problems with lower back pain and frequent urinating they did tests I had large kidney stone to big to pass. Now I am heading in for surgery to remove stone need less to say Dr Julian should have caught this 2 months ago far from happy will also be finding new Dr
I went to see Dr. Julyan because I've been having dizzy spells. He sent me to get blood work and then completely ignored any follow-up. When I asked about follow-up he gave some unhelpful wikipedia general advice, clearly no intention on actually doing his job. Thanks...
Great clinic to work with
Dr. Julyun listens to his patients and he is really caring. The staff is great at Corvallis clinic!
Dr. Julyan is a fantastic doctor! The most important thing you can do not only in healthcare, but in life is to care. Dr. Julyan does just that! He listens, he cares, and he provides help if needed. I could not ask for more and am thankful that he is my primary doctor.

Found that he would like to diagnose and move on, even if the problem isn't resolving. He diagnosed my hip pain within less than 5 minutes. No manipulation of the joint or range of motion testing, just a diagnosis and a sheet of stretches. When I finally looked up what he diagnosed me with I found 4 main symptoms that point to this issue. Of the 4 symptoms listed I only suffered from the hip pain. None of the other symptoms had ever occurred. A month or so later I returned because the pain had been getting worse and was starting to significantly affect my day to day activities. This is pain that has been chronic for 5 years. I have been to massage therapists and a multitude of chiropractic appointments before I had ever broken down and gone to the doctor. His exact statement to me upon arriving in the room for the second appointment was, "I already diagnosed that". I suppose that I should have left at that point since the fact that the pain had gotten worse was not of any consequence to him because he had diagnosed that. After advising that the pain had gotten worse after completing the assigned stretches he reluctantly decided that we could do some X-rays and if those did not show anything he would make a referral to PT. The referral to PT was what I had been hoping for. A few days later I received a call from somebody in his office who advised me that the X-rays did not show anything and that the doctor would give me a referral to a chiropractor. As I have done a multitude of chiropractic appointments over the past 5 years, without much relief (which I had told him a few times during our two previous appointments), I asked the person if a referral to PT could be made instead. Luckily this request was accepted and I'm hoping for a call from them soon. I will be changing doctors as I do not feel that this one wants to get to the root of a problem. I do not expect a quick fix or medication, but a person who wants to do the appropriate troubleshooting and not diagnose and move on when the problem is not resolving. I definitely felt as if he couldn't be bothered to help, or didn't care to. This is not a primary care doctor that I would like to see again, or have as my child's PC.
Dr. Julyan is nice and attentive at appointments but his over all marks are in response to doing his homework and reaching out to his patients with medical issues that he doesn’t know anything about. I ended up asking for a referral for second opinion because he misdiagnosed my condition .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
