Dr. Shindell was my primary care Dr 5 years ago. I was having a lot of pain and he treated me VERY badly. Dismissed my symptoms, treated me like i was some kind of drug addict, at one point in a visit i was crying from the pain and he told me i needed to calm down and sit down. Well I couldn't sit down. He told me i just needed to calm down. Well i finally called Samaritan to get a new Dr and they wanted to know what happened. I told them something was wrong and the way he was treating me. So I had to wait 9 months for a new Dr because no one was available but they informed me that I would continue care with Dr Shindell until my new Dr was available. So without my knowledge they told Dr Shindell of my complaint and did some kind of investigation. Which of course they didn't find he did anything wrong. And then he dropped me! I couldn't get my prescriptions, I couldn't get any basic care. When i called to get prescriptions filled they informed me I was no longer their patient. So for many months i was in limbo land dealing with this devastating pain.Turns out I have very aggressive CANCER. And a very large tumor. So i underwent 2 kinds of chemo and 30 rounds of radiation. My life has changed significantly due to the physical affects of the aggressive treatment required. I often wonder if Dr Shindell had just actually listened to me with compassion and believed me, if it could have been caught early enough to not have to undergo such extensive treatment? I do know if I had NOT left him that I would most likely be dead today. He didn't listen to me. He treated me like i was crazy. I would suggest if you need a dr. that you can trust when you really need them. You look elsewhere.

Easy in, easy out, no waiting room wasted time. Dr. Schindell is straightforward and reliable. I wish all doctors were like him. I moved out of state and still drove back to see him for the first couple of years. I have since changed insurance, and had to find a new physician or I would be seeing him still. Best doctor I've had in my 67 years.

Dr Schindell has been my primary care physician for a number of years. He listens to me and understands what he needs to know. I trust him completely and in all of my 78 years he is my most outstanding doctor. When necessary, he orders lab work or tests, or whatever else he realizes I need.
