List of Asante Orthopedic Surgery And Sports Medicine Ashland's Reviews
Dr. Reid and the Asante orthopedic crew have offered sensitive, knowledgeable care and advice throughout the time (nearly a year now) that I've been seen by them for a knee injury, the following surgery and recovery. Not once did I feel uninformed about any stage of the process, nor did I ever feel patronized, which is an exceptional balance to manage in a caregiving situation. Dr. Reid is incredibly personable and kind, and absolutely takes your concerns to heart when navigating recovery goals, and I'll be honest, while I don't remember much of the surgery experience, the team that took care of me did a great job. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing orthopedic surgery, I highly recommend them!
Dr. Townsend is #1. The BEST.
I was sent to his office by another surgeon. I didn't know him he came in our room ant we talked for about a half hour. And I gave to say we have a plan to get rid of all my pain.he is the first Doctor that has listens too what I had to say then he told me what he could do for me.
I had ORIF surgery on my broken humerus. I’ve consistently received excellent service, my calls have all been returned within 24 hours, and so far I’m healing with no complications. Dr. O saw me on Wednesday and operated the next day which I very much appreciated.
We waited a hour and a half for someone to see us .
I have been happy with my surgery but jeez is it a burden to actually call and get into touch to schedule an appointment. Any time called between 10 am and 2 pm for scheduling I get an answering service that cant direct me in any way. I still have metal.pins in my arm I need removed and seems to have to play phone tag in order to do so....except im the only one playing.
This review is long overdue. I was referred to Ashland Orthopedics a year ago, and continue under their care presently. I can not say enough good about the care/treatments I have recieved from Dr. Knoblich and Dr. O'Sullivan and their staff. Dr. Knoblich performed my TKR in Feb. 2017. Both doctors have addressed the many issues I have had, at no fault of their care. I highly recommend these doctors and staff to take care of your needs, in a caring manner. I am in the nursing industry and deal with medical staff on a regular basis, so I probably expect more than most as well. Thank you Ashland Orthopedics♡♡

Doctor Knoblich completely botched a right trapeziectomy and suspension arthroplasty and now I have to have my joint fuzed and many months of rehab that I now can't afford. He never even suggested we not do the surgery as I told him I had little pain. Just told me I needed it. Now I have lost much of the use of my right thumb and have increased pain. He was terrible with no bedside manner to boot.
Dr. Niehaus with Asante sent an urgent referral to this office on Tuesday, May 10th. It was received on Thursday, May 12th. I called to check on getting an appointment on Friday, May 13th. I was put off by the scheduler and was told I would be contacted the next week. I called on Tuesday the 17th and was put off again. She finally called me the next day and I was offered an appointment on June 10th. I told her this was not acceptable and that I am in a lot of pain. She said Dr. O'Sullivan was not available until then, that she would see if she could get me in sooner with someone else. Why couldn't she have checked when we were on the phone instead of putting me off once again? My doctor's office has called this office twice to discern the cause of the delay and was told the office is understaffed. That is not my problem. Pain is my problem. I had a broken bone a few years ago and it hurt less than this. Wouldn't it have been faster for the scheduler to just make an appointment when I called on Friday or find another doctor when she called me on Wednesday? Is there no priority for "urgent" notations on the referral? Did my doctor's office goof up and not mark urgent? I am truly disappointed in the corporate feel to this doctor's group and don't know what to do to get past the guard at the gate. With no luck so far, I am trying to find out if this is going to go on and on and on. If that is the case, I will try to get a referral somewhere else. This is the message I tried to e-mail them and it bounced back undeliverable to the address provided on their web site. I guess there is no getting across this moat to enter the orthopedic castle. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
