List of John Barlow Reid Iii's Reviews
My experience with Dr Reid was nothing short of excellent. His capacity to adapt and fulfill my needs as an athlete were incomparable. His knowledge of body mechanics can not be compared. And I can't even begin to tell you how creative and innovative he was in being able to provide me with a functional joint that provides me with what I require of it (and my body in general)....but the depth and understanding of what we as athletes ask of our bodies and what we essentially hope from our technicians. I can not promote the amazing work that Dr. John (Jeb) Reid III was able to perform upon (with) me, to allow me the freedom to pursue my passions and chosen career.
My knee replacement surgery was July 12, 2023 and it’s been quite an experience. Surgeries are hard but Dr. Reid and his team are always there for support, to answer questions (even silly ones) and to help with every concern you have. Dr. Reid is very compassionate, caring and talented surgeon. My friends who have had knee replacement surgery are amazed how well I am doing and it’s all because of Dr. Reid and his team!
Dr. Reid is the absolute best. He performed an ACL reconstruction and a meniscus repair on my 14-year-old son. His skills are impeccable. Dr. Reid kept my son motivated during the recovery process and got him back on the football field doing what he loves. Dr. Reid is one-hundred percent invested in the success of his patient's recovery. I truly cannot say enough good about the care we received. We are very grateful for Dr. Reid and the rest of his staff.
Dr. Reid did an impeccable job repairing my 14 year old sons knee. He had a complete tear of the ACL and a partial tear in the meniscus. My son surgery went perfectly as well as his recovery. We owe this to Dr. Reid, 100 percent. Dr. Reid made every post-op visit fun and challenging. Returning to football was my son’s primary goal. Dr. Reid made that happen! We are grateful for the care my son received at Asante in Ashland and especially grateful for the skills and compassion of Dr. Reid.

I have seen Dr. Reid twice in the past two years for my knee pain. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and explains everything to me clearly. I highly recommend anyone to see Dr. Reid that has knee pain.
Excellent care. He was the first doctor to recognize how difficult it has been. He's a compassionate teacher and respectful. I felt heard. He's directly honest and ethical. I honestly wouldn't pass on a chance to see him with your health concerns. He's the best in S.Oregon.
The year of 2021 was a very irritating and painful one due to being misdiagnosed, more than once, about a shoulder pain problem. In early April of 2022, I called an orthopedic surgeons office and set up an appointment to see one of them. I met with Doctor John B. Reid and told him about being in pain and not able to use my right arm. Dr. Reid ordered an MRI which was promptly done. When the results came back, they showed a bad rotator cuff tear. We talked about the benefits of having surgery and I decided to have it done. At the end of April 2022, and right after my 67th birthday, Dr. Reid did a 'complete tear of rotator cuff repair surgery'. I had also been told by people who have had this procedure that recuperating from it, is a very painful and slow process. I won't say that mine has been without pain but, following Dr. Reid's advice, my physical therapists' instructions and my desire to get well and do all the things I love (kayaking, gardening, hiking, etc.) I have been faithfully doing the exercise variety that I'm advised to do at home. I also push myself as far as I can handle the discomfort doing my daily exercise routine and the results are that, at 5 1/2 months after surgery, I am able to do most of the things I used to do before my injury. The range of motion in my arm is almost normal. Thank you, Doctor Reid, you made it happen, I can use my arm again, and being right-handed, I appreciate your help even more! Wonderful rapport! I’ll be perfectly honest. I actually enjoyed my visit instead of leaving and mumbling a descriptive word under my breath. Dr. Reid is knowledgeable and explains everything and takes the time to answer your questions. I actually would’ve liked to have stayed longer. ????

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
