List of Sylvia Chatroux's Reviews
Receptionist extremely rude and unhelpful when calling to find out more information.
I have used Sylvia Chatroux as my primary doctor for around 15 years or more. Five years ago I found a lump on the edge of my breast and although I had a clear mammogram Dr. Chatroux insisted on follow up tests, Ultrasound and biopsy. I indeed had breast cancer and had surgery and radiation treatments. She always takes the extra precaution of additional tests etc. to certify clean health. She also gives a person options for treatment (some holistic) and does not fall into the trap of just writing a prescription. My surgeon (Monty Stewart) and radiologist (Dr. Haugen) told me that she has saved many breast cancer patients because of her diligent tests on borderline patients. She leaves no stone unturned on caring for her patients.
I've had Hersey Health Care as my primary care since 2017 and experienced great care from NP Tara. I have no complaints about her. However, the staff and one nurse in particular have gotten impatient and even rude. I appreciate the fortitude and hard work that they put in, but I was not treated well every time I called the front desk and when I went in person for a severe allergic reaction. Wouldn't recommend for customer service.
Silvia has been my GP for 14 years. I could not ask for a more caring physician.
Sylvia lacks updated medical information and over prescribes opiates to minors. Avoid her as your doctor.
I was a college student seeking a kind, respectable ladydoctor who wasn't going to judge me on the weight I'd put on or overlook my medical issues to tell me to lose weight. Weight bias is REAL in the medical field and I expected more out of a self-proclaimed "compassionate, kind doctor who practices from the heart". I left feeling incredibly insecure, shamed and humiliated: "just lose 10 lbs by the next time I see you"--umm but can you help me with my crippling endometriosis? Can you approach me as a hurting human with a serious condition that's unrelated to my weight? Can you look at someone as HUMAN first? I never went back. I hope this review serves as both a warning to people researching doctors and as a way for Sylvia to educate herself and do better.
Dr. Sylvia is the best! She is very creative and knowledgeable, including knowing when to ask for help from a specialist. She also doesn't leave a stone unturned - totally thorough, with impeccable follow-through. Her office is a solid, reliable, warm team of ladies. The whole experience is supportive, reassuring, and professional. And one thing that is rare in this field is the understanding and support for emotional difficulties, how they impact physical health, and how to treat them. Thumbs up!!
Sylvia is the best - She listens & cares - Highly recommended!
Excellent female doctor, listens, takes time to understand and very compassionate. Looks at the whole person and starts with a natural approach and integrates western medicine practices if needed. Amazing experience.
I was a college student seeking a kind, respectable ladydoctor who didn't judge me on the weight I'd put on, or overlook my actual medical issues in favor of telling me to lose weight. Weight bias is REAL in the medical field, and I expected more out of a "compassionate, kind doctor who practices from the heart". I left feeling incredibly insecure, body shamed and humiliated. "Just lose 10 lbs by the next time I see you"--um, but can you help me with my endometriosis? Can you approach me as a hurting human who deserves to be looked at as a human first and not as a BODY? I never went back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
