Dr. park and his staff have always been wonderful!
Rude!! Would not recommend this doctor to my worse enemy
If you are seeking quality care, DO NOT see this doctor! I just had another awful experience with Dr. Parks today. I came on here to leave a review and was somewhat relieved that I wasn't the only one with bad experiences. I won't go into great detail about my experiences, but after time and time again, he refuses to give me proper treatment and has told me to go home and exercise, and once, he actually said I'm young and to go home and be happy. Another huge issue is his lack of communication or understanding of what I'm saying at any point of the appointment. My experience today was that he was abruptly leaving the room after only seeing me for maybe 60 seconds. I tried to stop him at the door to tell him about a podiatrist appointment I'd made and he turns to me, almost irritated and to my surprise his response was, "it's a free country" and walked away....? Maybe he misunderstood what I was saying ? It made no sense, and in my opinion, it was extremely unprofessional and left me feeling confused and a bit sad that he didn't even care to turn around and address what I was saying. At that point. I had to ask the nurse if the appointment was done because he did not return. . This happens every time I've been seen. Needless to say, I will be in search of a new physician who actually cares about his patients. Hopefully, this helps the next person avoid having to deal with what his patients are dealing with now.
My good doctor flew the coop as they always do on the Oregon Coast in Astoria. So I tried this doctor for six months now because finding a MD not a PAC is almost impossible. I have extensive back problems from several surgeries and he just does not seem to be able to help. I finally get another MRI and do a follow up with him, and after sending him pics, before the appointment this happens next. I see him and he says things look OK from the report? I'm like really (4) extensive back surgeries and things look OK? I guess he reads or see's what he wants in the report and he did not seem to understand what the report said. So I say did you look at the pics I sent you? He's what pics? The ones I sent you on your message system. So he goes to get somebody else to bring them up. Now he says you really have some problems here and I hope you can get some help. Then he leaves the room and the nurse says your done. He gets very upset when you tell him what the real problem is due to the apparent misunderstanding and his confusion it seems. It's like going back in time he has no computer he writes things down and when you come back he does not seem to have any idea from before when you were there, so you start over. His staff is just rude, they do not get your records after you fill out the forms to do so, so no wonder the doc has no idea of anything or what is wrong with you. When you go back in every time it's like you were never there before it seems.
Has been treating my parents for years, never listens to mom , rude to me and doesn’t send referrals. He prays on the elderly, I’ve heard this from others too. Loves to talk about himself and his money.
Would not refer anyone to this Dr. From: Retired Hospice RN
I have been going to Dr. Park since he first came to town. He has never rushed me out of his office & has always been very caring. His whole staff has been great.
Dr. Sangkun Park, a local physician for more than 20 years, was reprimanded by the state Medical Board for unprofessional conduct after entering into a property transaction with a patient. The Medical Board in April fined Park $10,000, required him to take courses on professionalism and ethics, and barred him from entering business contracts with current and recent patients and their immediate families.

I wrote the last review Dec 7. Ran out of space to finish. I just want to thank Dr. Park and his staff for detecting my heart problem and putting me into very capable hands for correcting it. Now my average heart rate is about 70 beats / minute, and I feel good. He may have saved my life, and I will be forever grateful. I strongly endorse Dr. Park and staff, and if you are over 55, I strongly urge that you to get 2 physical exams/ year. They could save your life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
