David A. Brown's Online Review Report Card

In August of 2021 I received the first Covid shot that rendered my right arm in pain and almost completely useless for a week. I had had a previous vaccine injury in the army with the Anthrax vaccine. I called Dr David Browns nurse on 10/11 stating I needed a medical waiver due to a previous injury to the Covid vaccine. She took my contact information and said the doctor would send me one to my e-mail. I then repeatedly called back on the dates indicated ( 10/11, 10/18, 10/26, 11/3, 12/12) and I spent at least an hour and a half on hold just to be told the doctor was trying to "verify" my injury. How this was being done none of the nurses could tell me. The doctor did not reach out to speak with me so how he would do this independent of listening to his patient I'm not sure. When I told the nurse about my dissatisfaction I was told to "seek your care elsewhere. Dr. Brown performed two surgeries on my broken leg. I had broken my tibia & femur in a ski accident. The initial surgery went very well but after p.t. and hard work I wanted to have a second surgery to "force" my knee to bend. Also, I wanted hardware in my leg removed. I asked Dr. Caravelli about the surgery and he didn't want to do the surgery (I believe he wants his reviews to look good so he performs the less complicated surgeries such as hip & knee replacements). Dr. Brown agree to perform the 2nd surgery approximately a year later and I had excellent results. Dr. Brown is a top notch surgeon, I am grateful to him and his awesome P.A.

Outstanding commutator, explained surgery details very well. Took time to answer my questions. I was admitted as an emergency patient and didn't know Dr Brown. He followed up with me the next morning and let me he would be traveling and his PA would release me. Made me feel confident in his ability to repair my hip.

We all need the honest truth sometimes and a path to find our way back to help. Thank you to Dr. Brown for being honest and offering options. I needed a reality check.

This is the first time in 45 years that I believe I actually experienced healthcare. From the time I walked in the building, every person I made contact with was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Dr Brown actually listened to me. During this visit, he made every previous Doctor look bad with his ability to talk WITH me and not AT me. It gets old being dismissed, rushed and ignored. Thank you for helping me. I felt heard, understood, cared for and empathized with.

very poor care. I entered the emergency care a little after 9 pm at St Charles with a broken foot and arm. Dr. Brown never came in, never spoke to my husband or myself, and misdiagnosed the foot. I am assuming that he spoke to the attending physician and read the x-rays. The type of broken foot that I had often requires a ct scan for diagnosis. Dr. Brown never ordered that and all of my x-rays on my foot were taken when I was lying on a bed.

Dr.Brown replaced my husbands hip. It was a nightmare of neglience. He forgot the one item that he had to inventory inside my husbands hip. Dr. Brown forgot the positioning pin! He pushed it out in Post Op, hoping my husband wouldn't hear his mistake. But he did. He was so interested in going on vacation, he left mo physical therapy referral and, no antibiotic prescription for dental work. Due to the crude pushing out and pulling out of the pin, there was bleeding in the thigh! A NIGHTMARE!!
