List of Gary Levinson's Reviews
Extremely bright. Professional. Thorough. Staff folk are very helpful and polite.
This so called doctor should retire, he is a detriment to the community. I have only seen this man twice while in the hospital, he just kinda showed up in my room. He and his cohorts labeled me as having Munchhausen Syndrome. This greatly affected my ability to get proper medical treatment for years. For a chronically ill person this this is very detrimental to the psyche. He should have just looked at my medical records and listened to me. This treatment and lack thereof, forced me into Depression and Medical PTSD I now have great doc's at a major university hospital. I have now been diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency, witch is a genetic disorder and cannot be faked. Basically I have no immune system. That is why I was hospitalized in the first place, recurrent infections for years. Furthermore, I have demyelinating Polyneuropathy, which cannot be faked. Even Furthermore, I have an auto-immune disease currently being worked up and guess what, can't fake that either. This tired physician is useless and I very much hope he reads this and knows who I am. Because he nearly cost me my life. Be on notice retire or I'm coming for you. Trust me Doc when I say, Dr. Anders is not your friend. He used you to manipulate my record and because you played along you are now, the liable party. Like I said Retire or I'm coming for you. Your choice quit your practice, or loose everything you have worked so lackadaisically for. I have all the medical records to back everything I have stated and can prove with their own medical records, that they knew I was Ig deficient. Sorry, one more thing. I noticed that everybody here also gave him 1 star rating, except for one 5 star rating. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but it was probably one of his own employees. I just find it suspicious. I simply cannot and will not allow this to happen to others. They really have some funny-business going on at Desert Regional. Be cautious!
I have been seeing Dr. Levinson for a number of years.
My father was seen by this Dr. This Dr took my father off meds-because he saw no symptoms....That was Because the meds were WORKING! He didn't ask if my father needed refill of his psychotropics, and gave a script for something my father has already been on and taken off with no resolve. It seems this Dr never Reviewed my fathers chart. Any Dr Not speaking with Family, when patient isn't competent is actually More Incompetent than the patient After three phone contacts Not Returned, about issue
Dr. Levinson is an excellent psychopharmacoligist (hope I spelled that correctly.) He also listens and remembers patient history. Staff is very nice and helpful. The office attractive and comfortable.
Great Physician.
I am 84 and have spent my life since seeing my first psychiatrist at age 17 seeking help for a Major Depressive Disorder. Dr. Levinson is at the top of my list of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, counselors and possibly a few quakes. He is profoundly intuitive. Without the tedium of going over my 'back story' yet again, he listened quietly to my brief explanation of why I was there, grasped my condition rapidly, adjusted my medications and gave me hope that I needed badly.
Dr Levinson is a master of evidence based medicine.
Dr. Levinson would not return my calls. When he finally did and I made an appt. to see him he spent the entire time telling me how busy his practice was. He did not listen to a word I said. He offered no advice or assistance. As his receptionist is never at her desk, I had to call back to make a follow up appt. My calls were never returned. Dr. Levinson definitely needs to retire. Do not waste your time with this uncaring, forgetful, disrespectful, arrogant, unprofessional man who has no business counseling others.
I find this doctor to be informed and caring and intuitive. I would not hesitate to recommend him, the only Doctor I have seen that has automatically known proper medications for a gastric bypass patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
