Do your research is all im going to say. HE DID MY SURGERY IN 2017 AND I HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE AGAIN!
Dr. Verheyden did my hand surgery in 2006 after a nasty yard tool accident left my nerves severed. He warned me that I’d never fully regain the feeling in my fingertips. Due to his expertise I have more than 90% feeling. I was recently diagnosed with arthritis that caused bone spurs and cysts in my fingers (unrelated). I specifically sought him out for the surgery and he again proved himself. If you have a surgery in your future, choose Verheyden. He won’t disappoint.
Years ago I went to Dr. Verheyden to help with my hands falling asleep while I was sleeping. His recommendation was to perform surgery and move arteries in my elbows in order to improve blood supply to my hands. A 2nd opinion from another Dr. found the root cause to be my pillow, as there was constriction in my neck from the pillow I was using. A $30 pillow solved the issue. Needless to say I would not recommend him.
It was very informative Dr. Verheyden explained everthing
He explained everything clearly, communicated what steps he chose to rectify my situation and how I can aid in my recovery. For previous visits I felt I needed PT and when I asked for those, he said it was not needed. But it truly was. My arm atrophied too much and I got an Rx for, PT, later on when I returned for a lower extremity visit. This time he gave me PT directions and a sheet which clearly stated what needed to do.
Dr. Verheyden was on time, pleasant, understood my hand injury, and most important … fixed it on my first visit. The injury was in my hand not my finger like I had thought. An injection and now my finger moves better and I can remove my ring.
This is my second experience with him is extremely knowledgeable, as well as personable. He takes the time to explain things completely so you have a good understanding of what the problem is, and how to solve it.
Dr. Verheyden has always been very thorough and knowledgeable about my hand issues. He explains the various options and has always fixed the problem in 1 visit. It is a pleasure and privilege to have him available in Bend, at The Center
Dr. Verheyden has been kind, understanding, and very competent. I've had injections from another doctor that were very painful. Dr. Veheyden's have been pretty easy for me. He is also open to alternatives to surgery so long as they work for the patient. He has been very accommodating, working to schedule another medical appointment on the same day to save me a trip for instance. He's been very careful with his explanations and quite patient with me. I find him personable as well as highly competent.
He explained everything clearly, communicated what steps he chose to rectify my situation abd how I can aid in my recovery. For previous visits I felt I needed PT and when I asked for those, he said it was not needed. This time he gave me PT and the sheet clearly stated what needed to do.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
