Jillian Foley's Online Review Report Card

Dr Foley was my doctor during my pregnancy with my second child. She recognized my hyperemisis and got me treatment. I will always be grateful for her good care during a horrible pregnancy which, thanks to her, resulted in a healthy baby. In addition to being great at her job she is also warm and funny and kind.

Dr. Foley has been one of my favorite doctors I have gone to see. I started seeing her long before I wanted to get pregnant and always had pleasant interactions with her. When my husband and I struggled to get pregnant, she ran all the standard bloodwork for me and eventually I got referred to a RE. When I finally did get pregnant, I had become much more holistic in my journey and Dr. Foley never once pushed or made me feel less for declining "standard" pregnancy care. She was a breathe of fresh air in that office. A few weeks before my due date, I decided to do a home birth and Dr. Foley was far more supportive than I would have imagined. If you are looking for a Dr. who is compassionate and non-judgmental, she is the right person for you.

Dr. Foley actually saved my life. I went to see her after finding a bit of a "blush" on my toilet paper. My periods had stopped when I went through chemo for breast cancer 5 years previously. Dr. Foley did an exam and a biopsy which she processed in her office. It came back negative so she did another one and sent it off for processing. It also came back negative. During a follow-up appointment, Dr. Foley suggested we do a hysterectomy as she was worried about my previous cancer. My wife and I trusted her so we elected to have the procedure. During the operation, they found two separate cancers - uterine and fallopian cancers. They sent a slide to Stanford to verify they were 2 separate cancers and it was confirmed. I then underwent chemo and recovered and was cancer free for 14 years when I was found to have another separate breast cancer. If Dr. Jill Foley had not done the hysterectomy, my cancers would have festered and grown and may have taken my life. She listened to her gut and went ahead with the hysterectomy which found the cancers. I have thanked her many times for saving my life upon which she always acted a bit embarrassed but i give her full credit. Many doctors would have taken the test results at face value and declared me cancer free. They would have been wrong. Thanks, Dr. Foley!

Outstanding Cardiologist. Dr. Foley has been the best cardiologist I've seen in my 50 years of dealing with several serious congenital heart conditions. She is easy to talk to and we discussed and arrived at the path we would take for my heart issues. Top notch physician.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Foley on 9/6/2018, from the time I walked in the door I had very little wait, the administrative staff was very friendly and very organized. Dr. Foley's assistance, Jason was very thorough and pleasant. Dr. Foley was right on time and very patient and answered all of my questions, she gave me a complete exam and ordered what I thought were the appropriate test, which had to be expedited due to a scheduled surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Foley

Dr. Foley is a wonderful physician if you are somehow actually able to get in to see her. I had an urgent issue which required prompt attention and was unable to get in to see Dr. Foley or any of her colleagues for a same-day appointment. There were slots available but the nurse I spoke to told me that my issue would take longer than the 10 minutes allotted for those appointments and would not book me. She did, however, feel it was urgent enough to refer to me to urgent care. When I went to the urgent care, I was diagnosed and referred back to my gynecologist. I asked for any appointments at any time with any provider in 2-3 weeks (further in the future than the physician at urgent care thought was prudent but thems the breaks). I was told that Dr. Foley has no availability for the next 2 months, and the next appointment I could get to see anyone at all would be one month away. Previously I have had to change doctors within this same practice because there were just no appointments available within a reasonable amount of time. Not for annual exams, not for routine procedures, and certainly not for urgent issues which require attention from a specialist. Based on the response that I did receive for an appointment request, it seems like the expectation is that I will hang in there for a month to get in and in the meantime blow up the advice nurses' phones; or go to the emergency room if it gets bad enough. Again, Dr. Foley is fantastic. Actually getting in to see her is another matter entirely.

Fantastic! Took the extra step to find out that I had a major heart event even though the first test did not show up that way. If she had not of dug a little deeper then it would not of been good for me. Dr. Foley is fantastic! She cares enough to do the extra work with a friendly professional attitude. She explains everything on my level. Now, I am doing fantastic also!!! Thanks Dr. Foley for going the extra step. I still be riding my motorcycle! LOL!!!

I came in to Sutter East Bay Obstetrics with complaints about vulvodynia at the beginning of my third trimester. The first OB I saw about my condition, nurse practitioner Modell on 2/2/16, dismissed my concerns and did not even examine me thoroughly to make a proper diagnosis. I suspected vulvar varicosities and had to make an extra appointment on 2/8 to try to find out what was going on. Dr. Honeggar saw me and was able to confirm my suspicions, but could not recommend any treatments other than a support belt and Tylenol. I requested phlebotonics, which I hard read about in a French research paper, but she could not help me with this. Dr. Honeggar recommended that I see Dr. Foley, who would know more about my condition, so I made this request. Dr. Foley took special time out of her busy schedule to see me on 2/24. I got some additional recommendations for treating my condition and more compassionate care than I had previously received. Importantly, she checked my veins for thrombosis. Throughout this ordeal, Dr. Foley is one of the few OBs who showed empathy for my condition. While the other OBs often dismissed my pain as mere "discomfort," she understood the severity of it, and helped me with additional pain management options and prescribed an early epidural for my labor and delivery.

Well we have been waiting 4 weeks for a call back from her or her office and we have heard nothing from them since the sorry job they have done with my father. i am very upset about this! The impression I get is she just don't give a damn or her team as they call them selves. Some team when the TEAM can't call you back or even acknowledge that their is a problem. So no I don't recommend this doctor to anyone not even a for a veterinarian.

Dr. Foley is my OB, I'm 7 months pregnant and it took two months to get on her schedule. Our coveted appt is on Friday and her office just called to say that there was a "scheduling conflict" and so my appt is cancelled. I have not seen a doctor in 2 months due to the last appt with nurse practitioner Cannon - she did not show for a full 30 minutes and I had to leave to pick up my son from childcare. I've also gotten a bill for $487 from their office because their billing department totally screwed up - my insurance company said their billing me was even in breach of their contract as it looked as though their were soliciting double payment. It's probably too late for me to change providers but I do not recommend this place, just Yelp the review for Sutter Health East Bay Medical Foundation and you'll get more into that I wish I would have read.
