I cannot express how seriously this doctor takes his job and how willing to help his patients he is. My father has had schizophrenia for over 20 years and has recently started having issues with dementia. Over the past 20 years that my father has struggled with his psychiatric needs we have been put through the wringer with doctors. We also have had many doctors that would unsuccessfully do med changes for my father that would result in very bad psychological issues to follow. This is not the case with Dr Boire. He knows meds incredibly well and takes care while making changes. If it were not for Doctor Boire’s amazing level of care and diagnosis for my father, we wouldn’t have realized he was having issues with dementia nor would he currently be stable with his psychiatric needs. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Boire nor can I thank him enough for his level of care. He is the best of the best at what he does.

A great psychiatrist who met with me regularly and several times a day while I was an inpatient at Sage View. The first real treatment I ever received for PTSD related to past trauma. Previously, I had been diagnosed with “schizoaffective disorder” and when I was admitted was on 5 different psychiatric medications, (including 2 antipsychotics), which had been prescribed by a nurse practitioner. I felt terrible. By the time I discharged, I was only on 1 antidepressant. Six months later, I feel so much better. I am now seeing an outpatient therapist he set me up with and am continuing to move forward. Best of all, I have lost nearly 20 pounds now that I am no longer taking Zyprexa and Seroquel! Old school knowledge and hard work ethic meets new school flexibility and open-mindedness.

I came into the hospital with bipolar mania and was completely psychotic. He restarted my medications and was actually able to get rid of one med entirely and lower the dose of the other. He met with my wife and kids and helped my family understand my condition. He got me follow up as an outpatient and I am now going strong and stable for 6 months. Thank you Dr. Boire!

The only doc I know of who will eat breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner with you on the unit with the other patients. Easy to chat with. Pretty real guy and a cool dude.

Dr. Boire admitted me when I was using heroin, when others would not. I was literally at my end. He not only detoxed me, but then also treated my anxiety and depression. I’m still clean and sober and doing well. Saved my life!

I came to the emergency room strung out on heroin and suicidal. Dr Boire admitted me when others wouldn’t and treated my addiction as well as my depression. He detoxed me and got me follow up as an outpatient. I’m happy to say that I’m still clean and sober - nd alive!

Dr. Boire does only inpatient and I did not actually select him. That said, I am greatful he was there for me. I came into the hospital depressed and suicidal and Dr Boire talked me through it. He never pushed meds on me. He met with me repeatedly and my family to help work out issues and get me back to my life. He answered my questions and actually listened. Thank you!
