Integrity, it matters. My procedure went well. The Doctor and I had a lengthy discussion about my specific concerns and his regarding anesthesia both over the phone and in person. I was asked by almost everyone who saw my chart what my issues with anesthesia entailed. It was absolutely known by everyone, including the doctor. When I scheduled a second surgery at the same facility, Dr. Kamaya had me blacklisted from the facility for “not making him aware” that I had past issues with anesthesia. Dishonesty, for whatever reason, is not something that I or you should tolerate in a physician.
