List of Sophia Larson's Reviews
Dr Larson is highly professional, knowledgeable and thorough. She is wonderfully personable and very easy to relate to. It's always a pleasure to see her.
I have seen Dr. Larson for about 12 years now. I relocated to Santa Rosa and continue to see her twice a year still. Some of my friends now see her and we all have the same feelings.... you're not gonna die on her watch, she makes you feel like you're her priority and you feel you've found the best out there! I would recommend her wholeheartedly. Such great heart and health care!
I have to agree with the man below Prq r. My Experience awful -I was told I had aortic stenosis and 100% would need surgery eventually . I was told to continue running. All untrue - I have no signs of aortic stenosis and in fact have a serious life threating issue. I have HOCM which is genetic . I can not go above 135 bpm - I could have dropped dead . It is genetic with the biggest fatality in the late teens - My 16 year old Son at the time THANK GOD was fine. Due to delayed treatment my mitral valve has suffered. Please do not see this Doctor - she is not good. The practice at bare minimum owes our family an apology instead I received a certified letter stating she discontinued me as a patient- I would not go back in any case - this is not a nice or good doctor
I have had Dr Larson for 6 years and she has seen me thru my aortic valve surgery and watching my aneurysm.I see her 2x per yr.I always look forward to seeing her.she listens to all my woes and I feel extremely confident in her decisions and her care.I searched a long time before selecting her.Love her!
This review is for Dr Larson as well as the Angiography staff from Sequoia Hospital Suggested by Dr Castro @ but not so great experience, I was supposed to undergo a valve replacement surgery and was recommended to go to her as a secondary opinion First appointment she made me wait for 40 minutes in a examination room with no explanation. Secondly she asked me if I was an Afghan national 'Pashtun' I am Indian and Hindu I found it very intentional she asked me this question , I am sure she can distinguish between Indians and Afghans having been in medical profession. Secondly she recommended me for an Angiogram even though there was clear indication from a prior Angio CT that this was not required from multiple doctors including the surgeon she still insisted that I have one. My age was also not an indicator for requiring the procedure (40). Thirdly my surgeon recommended that the Angiogram be performed radially via wrist but it was done through the groin as well it was not performed by her but another Japanese doctor who finished the procedure in less than 5 minutes and disappeared never came to talk to me about the procedure. I remember having bleeding complications post procedure so the 2 stars are for the doctor checking on me after the procedure to help mitigate it . The nurses at the post angiograph and pre were very kind and nice. Lastly Dr Larson mentioned that I would certainly need a Aorta replacement at 4.0 cm but multiple opinions elsewhere as well inspection during surgery (I got it done elsewhere from Sequoia as this aorta replacement part scared me) proved otherwise. Because of these 4 reasons I am not sure if I can identify with other reviewers but this is just my opinion.
Dr. Larson is wonderful. She's everything you want in a doctor; patient, kind, funny, genuine, warm, smart and she answers all of your questions. I had a lot of fear about getting an ablation and she made me feel much more relaxed. She's very easy to talk to and will immediately put you at ease.
Fabulous Cardiologist love Dr Larson in every way..Courteous,listens and will work with you to help you.Really nice and patient and does not make you fell like an idiot.
The most compassionate and competent doctor I have ever been fortunate enough to see. I wish all doctors had the care and passion Dr. Larson exhibits.
Dr. Larson is a wonderful person and a great cardiologist. I have been taking my mom to see her, and even though they don't speak the same language, she always makes my mom feel totally comfortable and at ease. I can't say enough good things about her, God Bless.
Dr. Larson is pretty amazing! I'm one of her younger patients. I first met her when I went into Labor and Delivery with an irregular heart beat. It turned out to not be a huge deal, but it caused her to watch me during my next pregnancy, twins. It turned out to be perfect because after delivery, I went into heart failure. Dr. Larson was good, direct and loving with me. I often felt that she treated me as if I was her own daughter. She genuinely cared about me and my babies. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Her staff is also very friendly and helpful. If you are ever in the situation of needing a cardiologist, Dr. Mary Larson is a great choice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
