I saw Dr Bollom for my osteoarthritic right shoulder yesterday for the first time. Xrays show advanced osteoarthritis. My pain and decreased range of motion have been increasing fairly rapidly over the past 6 months. Because my rotator cuff is not intact there were two options, reverse shoulder joint replacement surgery or corticosteroid injections. I opted for the injections. Dr Bollom did a subacromial injection. By this morning my shoulder was pain free. Without the pain my range of motion is increased. Dr Bollom is a very competent, upbeat and friendly practitioner and he is, to my thinking, of the highest class. As a retired MD I can recommend Dr Bollom whole heartedly.

Dr Bollom is one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate, and easy to talk with doctors I have ever met. I’ve seen him for my very arthritic knee and injured shoulder.

Dr. Bollom did an awesome job on my shoulder. However, follow up questions and concerns went unanswered after many phone calls to the orthopedic office.

I was referred to Dr. Bollum for knee replacement surgery. I heard positive remarks from satisfied patients and was not disappointed with the results. Pain was minimal and recovery easy.

In the long run, you will probably be quite pleased with Dr. Bollom as your surgeon. His technical skills are excellent and the results are quite good, at least in my experience. While recovering, you will probably not be particularly pleased with pain management. His office seems to be more-or-less callous and indifferent. Not sure if this is from him directly, but, it's hard to imagine that their attitude would be tolerated if he didn't share it. There may not be enough pain meds, they will be slow to refill them, even following their own instructions. They'll make sure you have a day or two between a prescription ending and grudgingly offering a refill. They will tell you they'll call in a refill, but they won't. They'll tell you they'll call you back if there's a problem, but they won't. They'll tell you there's an after-hours doc on call, but there isn't. For minor operations, this isn't a problem. For something major like a joint replacement, it really is.

Dr. Bollom presents a caring atmosphere and projects competence. My knee replacement experience was excellent full care responsiveness to my questions. I hope I don’t have to do this again but if I do, I will go back to Dr. Bollom
