List of Steven Tersigni's Reviews
Dr. Tersigni is a wonderful surgeon! I had weight loss surgery 22 years ago, lost 130 pounds and kept the weight off. Recently, two of my adult children have had weight loss surgery with Dr. T and are doing great! His nurse, Robin, gave wonderful instruction during the classes and throughout the entire process. She has been informative, kind, patient and responsive to all of our questions. We traveled from Central Oregon for all of our procedures because we trust Dr Tersigni and his team wholeheartedly. I cannot thank them enough!
I have known Dr. Tersigni for over twenty years. He has performed weight loss surgery on fourteen of my family members. He is a highly skilled and compassionate surgeon. I trust him completely and would highly recommend him if you are in need of surgery.
Greatest doctor I’ve seen with my mom and myself. Super thorough with information. I had the gastric sleeve and have never felt better. Thank you for taking care of my mom and I.
I have known Dr. Tersigni over twenty years. He is a very talented, kind and skilled surgeon. He has operated on 14 of my family members and I trust him completely. If you or someone you know needs surgery don’t hesitate to call his office.
Over the past 10 years I’ve had two consults with Dr. Tersigni. Ive heard great things and have two personal friends who’ve had bariatric successful surgeries. However both times I was treated poorly and felt rushed and uneducated. It’s clear Robin and Tersigni are all about what they can bill to your insurance rather than about informing, caring or helping potential patients.First consult was way back 2010 when they were still in the small little office at NBMC where they had a autographed by “The Real Penny Lane”Almost Famous poster hanging in the front because she was a patient. Then several years later I seen them in the larger fancy office at NBMC they had just relocated there.Initially I made a bunch of excuses for them they must be busy, maybe it was me , they were tired, bad day etc. So I decided to go again for second consult.Second time around was much worse, I really felt like they had no interest in me what so ever other than again billing my insurance and what my insurance covered , which was 100% other than the $500 class of course. So I came out emotional and very discouraged that I’d never have bariatric surgery because of how I was brushed off and so ill informed after asking many questions, I just gave up. Fast forward to 2022 thought I’d try again. It took Robin 2 weeks to finally answer her phone after leaving five voicemails, I said I was glad I finally reached her she said they were busy short staffed and she had been working remotely. She quickly & completely pushes me off as she assumed I was “another OHP person”but then when she found out I had private insurance , her tone changed she was just sweet as pie she was “going to talk to Dr. T” about my special situation and give me a call back , never heard from her again. I have called and left a couple messages stating I was eagerly waiting a call return to schedule my consult to move forward with the process. 4 months later and I haven’t heard a word back. I would not recommend Bay Bariatric based on their demeanor , my awful experiences and how they treat people along with the inexcusable professionalism on all levels from follow up call backs to bed side manner and care in general . These issues how practices are ran and patients treated are extremely important to me. I do realize my opinions shouldn’t take away from Dr. T’s expertise in Bariatric surgery I do hear he’s an excellent surgeon. I stand by my opinion and will stay clear from this office.
Dr Tersigni's office staff are very incompetent. They lost me from start to finish. I had breast cancer that required a masectomy by Dr Tersigni. Every procedure I needed was delayed because they lost my info. Like 4 different times. I had to call and bug the staff because they were going to call me after I was supposed to be placed on the Tumor Board. I never heard from them so I had to keep calling them. Everytime I called of course they had lost me again. I hope my cancer hasn't gotten more serious waiting around for a professional to advise me on the next step needed. Carly was assigned to my case. She acted very put out that she was having to deal with me calling her to find out why I hadn't been notified of my next steps as promised.
I had a gastric bypass done in 2012 by Dr. Tersigni. At that time I weighed in at 239 pounds today twelve years later I weigh 150 and I'm in better health than I've ever been. He is caring, takes the time to explain procedures to you and ready to answer any questions you might have. He's an excellent surgeon and his staff are warm and welcoming.
Short stay treated me very well and if I have to go back I will not be afraid like I was the first time.
I suffered with gastroparesis for over a year and a half and could get no relief. I woke up nauseated and would throw up every two or three day. I saw doctor after doctor and all they wanted to do was prescribe more pills. Dr. Tersigni saw me twice and did surgery and I can not believe the difference. I am no longer taking pills for nausea or med for heartburn or acid reflex. I can not tell you the difference in how I feel. I still eat small portions but can eat just about anything
I had a bariatric sleeve preformed by him in Sept. 2018. I weighed 230. Today 5-20-19 I weigh 153. I am so happy I had the surgery with him. His staff was very professional and took great care of me. This was the best thing I have done in my life for me. My blood pressure is down, I can walk up to 4 mile at a time, I no longer need a cpap machine. It is a big decision and he is the best suregeon and very dedicated to his patients. I recommend his 100%. Start your life on your own terms. It is very doable. This is a life saving surgeon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
