Charmin Sagert's Online Review Report Card

Refused referral from one of my providers to to see me for assessment of the same genetic related neurological conditions she saw my father for years (I was his caregiver and went on his appointments). Her office told me she refused the referral I need- I should go to OHSU specialist instead (who??) but Dr. Sagert NEVER EVER recommended that same referral to OHSU for my dad while he was alive and struggling (died less than a year ago). So Dr. Sagert collected all the money for treating my dad without giving him the best help and now she refuses to help me, I've been off work on short term disability and need to go on long term Also bad, she/her office did not let me know she refused the referral, I had to call up to see why I still hadn't heard about my referral to Dr. Sagert, when was my appointment? If she/her office had let me know I could have at least been looking for someone who actually believes in the Hippocratic oath and who I can get in on time for disability deadline.

If I could give Charmin Sagert MD at Corvallis Neurology in Corvallis Oregon a negative star I would. I went to her to get help because I had a double concussion. The first thing she did upon entering the room was to tell me that either me or my doctor was not telling the truth. Then she introduced herself, and asked me to share my side of what happened. I proceeded to share about my injuries but she didn’t seem to care - acted bored. I struggle to talk, get dizzy and have a hard time following when people talk to me. I also struggle with reading, writing and numbers. Dr Sagert didn’t think any of these symptoms were relevant. She did a lot of typing ... checked to see if I could grip with my hands, my reflexes, follow her finger with my eyes and walk a straight line. The only thing I could do well was a good grip. She didn’t seem interested that I struggle with blacking out, see things that aren’t there or don’t see thing that are there, can’t walk a straight line without help, have hot spots on the back of my head and there hasn’t been a day that I have been headache free since my injuries etc. She did spend time telling me how popular she was and how hard it is to get an appointment because of her popularity. Oh, and all I need is an appointments every 3 months and check in with her every month by phone and —- are you ready for this? If I do these things I will be completely well by a March 2020! When I left her office I had to have help walking because the headache was so bad I couldn’t see, I was experiencing a blackout and began throwing up. Do you know how disgusting it is to throw up and not be able to see? Yes I let Dr Sagert know how this appointment affected me, the answer was mak an appointment for 3months and call in each month, I asked numerous times for her report from this 1 appointment, but that has fallen on deaf ears. Thankfully my doctor is very helpful and transparent. No, I would never recommend this Dr Sagert.

Dr. Sagert has been a great doctor so far and has helped me understand my diagnosis better. She listens to my concerns and tries to get me going on the treatments that I prefer as long as they are right for me. Wonderful doctor!

Compassionate, knowledgeable, and good bedside manner. She’s the real deal!

After a referral, my primary care physician told me to wait a week to receive a call to setup an appointment with Dr. Sagert. I received no response, so I called Dr. Sagert's office. I was told to expect at least 2 weeks after referral before I even get a chance to make an appointment. Over 3 weeks later I get a call and I'm offered an appointment more than 4 weeks later. They could have told me this when I called the first time, at which point I would have tried another clinic in another city. Very unprofessional office procedure. I have no idea how good Dr. Sagert is - I never got to see her. I suggest people try elsewhere first. If I had an ailment I could put on hold, this would be no big deal. As it was, I was out of work suffering from chronic pain for which my PCP had already tried everything he could. Dr. Sagert's office didn't seem to care. They just want to keep the appointment book full.

My experience with this dr was not a positive one. She was excessively cold and clinical. During a painful nerve conduction test she never said one kind word or felt any compassion whatsoever. There is limited neurologists in this town. I feel stuck with one who really doesn't do anything for me. Types a bit on her own laptop and Just keep making appointments every 3 months. For what purpose? Tells me there's nothing more she can do for my chronic pain other than gabapentin, huge amounts, and baclophen. Feeling stuck.

She kept me and my family waiting almost an hour, then she didn't have the information promised. She called the next day to tell me there were cancer cells in my spinal fluid, over the telephone, and that she wouldn't be seeing me again. Rude, crude and unprofessional.

She has to be one the very best doctorsI have ever come in contact with.Professional, courteous, caring, compassionate and great personality.
