Sat on a referral for a month before telling me they won’t see me because I was looking for a “second opinion” (which I wasn’t).
Compassionate and thorough- really took the time to understand my complaints. Helped me to understand my health and options to treat my problems.
Dr Shelly Svoboda was so intelligent, helpful and easy to talk to. She knew my chart and why I came to see her. I would highly recommend her.
I would definitely not recommend her. When I made my appointment, I was never told that I have to have a Covid test before I saw her. She did not want to exam me without a Covi test. I was scheduled to have a Covid test after I saw her as I was going to have Eye lid surgery a few days later. I called Patient relations after she left me in tears. I was informed that she forgot to read Epic to see what was going on with me. I was informed today by a Colon Rectal scheduledr that she was covering for herself, and just stated I did not have a Covid tes nor stating that she forget to read Epic.
I have seen a lot of Neurologists over my lifetime, and by far Dr Svaboda has been the best! Very knowledgeable and straight forward without being rude or talking above normal knowledge level. I truly appreciate her as a neurologist!
Obviously intelligent, thoughtful, level headed, and caring.
Find someone else. She was kind, listened, understanding when we met in December and came up with a treatment plan. That doctor did not show up today. The doctor who did toxin injections today lacked all compassion and understanding of the muscles and muscle attachments under the scalp. She was angry and made it very clear I could go elsewhere but I was desperate for some relief from the excruciating pain from muscle spasms in my shoulders, neck, head and face. She acted like she'd never agreed on a treatment plan for the frequency of injections, where she'd inject and how much she'd use. When I tried to get the appointment back on track by reminding her what we talked about in December, she told me to stop talking and she proceeded to berate me about her 22 years of experience. She even went so far as to say that if she injected toxin in the temporalis attachment where I've had a major head injury and multiple neurologists have injected it with toxin to control the migraines originating from it over the years, any doctor who saw in my chart notes that she'd injected it would ridicule her. The headache specialist at OHSU and then Providence with over forty years of experience who first injected the area with toxin would report her to his buddies on the Oregon Medical Board if he had heard her tirade and lack of knowledge of basic headache points for toxin injections. She is unbending and rude and the caring compassionate doctor I met in December didn't show up at my appointment today.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
