He barely looks you in the eye or speaks to you and it seems he takes his job as a rheumatologist with a very lax attitude. He shrugged off all of my new symptoms and said "must be your disease" without ever naming what it was directly, and when I viewed my visit notes I saw that he attributed them all to a disease I've never been diagnosed with. Incredibly dissatisfied with my experience.

I don't even know where to start on this fella, but I am heart broken Dr. Zsu (Drew) left Corvallis. He was so easy to talk to. Dr. Thompson barely said two words to me or look me in the eye during consultation/checkup. He had no opinion or response about my medication or the fact that my pain has increased. Nor did he bother to discuss other arthritis medication possibilities with me. I thought that was the job of a rhumy, but I felt like I had to direct the entire visit. The entire check up was over-the-top awkward, by lack of verbal responses with this guy and I left wondering what I paid him for. Perhaps he was having a bad day or not feeling well, but I chose to travel out of town for my rhumatology needs. We seriously need more specialists here.

Dr Thompson was my Colorado rheumatologist. He was always attentive to my needs. Loved him for my Dr and was heartbroken when he left. Im happy he is closer to his family.

At 70 I have been to many specialist for various ailments. Dr. Thompson is the finest I have ever seen. Sad he is leaving UCH. My disease is under control and I have use of my hands back thanks to him.

Dr. Thompson listens to his patients. He is very thorough in reviewing past history, making diagnosis, and explaining instructions. I never feel rushed and trust the medical care I am getting.

Dr. Thompson is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his patients. I have found most specialists spend the majority of an office visit talking. Not Dr. Thompson, instead of the patient listening to him the entire visit, HE is the one listening. He carefully and quietly fits all the pieces of the puzzle together to get straight to a diagnosis. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
