Dr. Essex is really the only game in town -- there simply aren't good alternatives in Dallas. He is not a good listener (he spends far too much time talking and not nearly enough time listening) and he does not remember details from one appointment to the next. For example, he prescribed medication for a specific, temporary condition at one appointment -- but by the next appointment, he insisted the medication was for a different purpose. It took months of arguing before he finally looked at the other medications he prescribed and realized that he should have discontinued the one in question. Despite my frustrations, though, there seem to be no good alternatives.

Dr. Essex has been my grandmother's provider for years and has been nothing but grief. She kept him as a provider due to convienince and her age. He does not listen to her needs and is very quick to give her medication and send her on her way without actually looking at any sort of cause. Stay far away from this doctor if you value your health!

I've been seeing this doctor since 2009. I absolutely love him as a doctor. He has great bedside manners, he let's you know what you need to hear but is never harsh about it. He and his staff always have a smile upon their faces and all are just genuinely really nice people. My kids even love going to see him and the nurses.!!
