I saw Dr. Lance for my left knee. I had injured it a year ago in a fall. Brought two MRIs me one from one year ago when I hurt my knee and one from the surgery I had in 2019. first, they x-rayed knees. I wanted to take my blood pressure I am 70 I asked him to use a cuff They said they didn’t have one. She took my blood pressure on my wrist which I never have had done before it was 195/130 which should’ve set off alarms to her. I told her it’s never been that high. It was never mentioned again when the doctor came in, he never even mentioned my blood pressure. I ended up calling Kaiser and going over there to get it checked. It was in normal range, he told me I had severe arthritis in both my knees. I asked him well how come the other one doesn’t hurt and he goes well both knees are not the same. He mentioned injections.$$ I was not very impressed by him. If you’re looking for physician, I would look elsewhere.

I took a fall on my right shoulder on March 31st 2021. Since I had fallen on my left shoulder 2 years prior I decided to wait a while and begin to rehab as I had done with my left shoulder. After 6 weeks I took out the bands of latex and started to exercise the same movements I had used with my left therapy sessions. It took but one pull to let me know this shoulder needed more rest before exercising. By mid July I still could not use my right arm in everyday activities. I went to a walk-in clinic and was referred to get an mri on my shoulder. Once completed I was referred to the Slocom Orthopedic Center in Eugene. My appointment with Dr. Lantz was brief but complete. He said," The only way I can help you is with rotator cuff surgery." He showed me the imagery with a huge hole in the middle of my rotator cuff. He said he would do his best but it was a big hole and he may not be able to fix it to where I would regain all my former mobility. It is 6 months since surgery and therapy. I feel I am progressing with my range of motion and strength. I want to thank all the people at Slocom Orthopedic Center for there excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. If I ever, and I hope to never experience a debilitating fall I would return to Slocom's. Sincerely Lloyd Little A satisfied patient

Dr. Lantz did amazing ACL reconstruction surgery with hamstring graft. 2 weeks post op my knee has 120 degrees flexion with no extension lag and minimal swelling. I have progressed to cane with no complications. He explained pre surgery, surgery and post surgical expectation. Key to good outcome is pre surgical workout, surgeons skill and post surgical rehab. Dr. Lantz definitely met my expectation as skillful surgeon. Would recommend him for your surgeries.

Very professional I haven't had my surgery yet but will be on the 24th and I'm perfectly comfortable knowing Dr Lantz is doing my surgery. Had my surgery on the 24th of March and I can say this after working in the medical field for many years in Portland in private practice and at shriners hospital for children. This group of staff are very professional from the start to the finish they cover every little thing I wouldn't hesitate to refer friends aquatances or any one that ask I'm so glad that I had gotten Dr.Lantz he'd did a outstanding job is very personal I had two anesthesiologist one called me the next day after surgery and the other called me on Saturday to see how I was doing AND Dr.LANTZ CALLED ME ON HIS PERSONEL CELL PHONE TO CHECK ON ME AND TO LET ME NO IF I NEEDED ANYTHING TO CALL HIM EITHER ON HIS CELL OR THE HOSPITAL PHONE LINE.excellent Dr. Knows what he is doing and makes you comfortable with everything. Dr.Lantz and staff are remarkable. My appointment was on time and I really appreciate the ease of a scheduling.

Dr. Lantz is incredibly intelligent, and skilled in his practice. He is fast and efficient. I had severe damage to my right knee from going years without an ACL. He did a high tech surgery on my knee that put my 30 year old active body back into shape. I would highly recommend Dr. Lantz and Slocum for all your “knee-ds”.
