List of David Tom's Reviews
Dr. David is awesome. He saw me same day as his schedule opened & he very quickly assessed my problem & got me relief! I highly recommend Dr David for your family!
My poor review is less based on Dr. Tom's performance as much as billing and staff. A couple months after the appointment I get a bill for $110 in which he charged $532 for removal and $210 for new patient visit. I called to ask why I was receiving a bill and the lady, Brenda, completely ignored my question and just said "you owe $110, if you want to pay now we can close this out". Very rude. This $742 "procedure" was literally 10 minutes with pliers to remove a lego from my daughters nose.
Dr. Tom is awesome! He really listens and explains everything in detail. No waiting in his office--I get right into my appointments and the staff is friendly. He just did sinus surgery on me, and I am thrilled with my results! I would recommend him and his office to anyone.
He was okay with my diagnosis of having my tonsils and adenoids removed however his nurse or office manager named Angie decided to cancel my surgery last minute for the reason of financial means of having the operation which is none of their concern it is for the billing department to decide plus Dr. Tom put it on an emergency surgery. If you ask me they need to clean house and get rid of Angie period... He seemed like a good doctor and my throat bled only once and just a little bit. One thing he could work on his being more compassionate with his patients because it would make them feel more at ease.
Overall he is a good doctor and knows his stuff FAIRLY well. He will get you in diagnose you, in his way, treat you and send you on your way. He is a bit young so if you prefer an older doctor with more experience I would go elsewhere. He is nice but not warm or very friendly. He treated my father for throat cancer and was very cold post surgery and was again not warm or friendly AT ALL during office visits. I think he can be off sometime during diagnosis. He sent my dad in for about $15,000 is scans and x-rays and then did an experimental surgery on him which he did not need without fully explaining anything to my dad or I. His staff is the WORST, with the exception of his receptionist, they are very nice. But his assisting nurse Mary, she is rude, has horrible patient interaction and all around is just ugly inside and out. She would blatantly be disrespectful and not answer questions when my father and I asked during office visits and she was ALWAYS nasty on the phone when we had to call and talk to her. If you can deal with a doctor who is not a people person but will get you healed then I would recommend him. If you need treatment for something that will require a lot of time with the doctor, such as cancer like my dad, I would go elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
