James Kassube's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr Kassube for over 10+ years. I suffer from long-term chronic pain due due osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease and other conditions, resulting in many surgeries, spinal procedures and fusions. I also have an implanted pain pump into my spine that he surgically implanted many years ago. When I first became a patient, I had no less than 4 Doctors I saw regularly and had seen nearly every spinal surgeon in the immediate area who wanted to immediately do invasive and life altering spinal fusions and replacements, which would have severely limited me physically as a new mother to 2 toddlers. Dr. Kassube was the first Doctor that took the time to really become invested in my care as a whole and helped me to be conservative in my surgical choices, giving me a longer outlook for having as close to a normal life with my family, with my physical disabilities. The spinal surgeon we chose together did a great job and had a similar outlook as he does and I appreciate Dr. Kassube's knowledge and while I am in unavoidable pain every day, He helps me to be as comfortable as I can be with a treatment plan that is right for me. He exhausts every avenue before suggesting surgery which is a rarity in his field and I absolutely trust his opinion more than I can ever express. He is well known throughout our local hospitals for being incredibly caring, thoughtful and having a wonderful bedside manner. When he is beloved by the medical community, you know you're lucky to have him! Thank you Dr. K and your amazing team (past and present all these years!) While I will never be pain free, You make my day a little brighter and I can smile through my pain BECAUSE of the care and concern you've always shown me and others in my situation.

My husband went in for steroid injection in his back. Dr Kassube was professional, friendly, & my husband felt very safe. He had this done before in another office, but this was the first time he was not given sedation and he was comfortable and Dr Kassube was efficient and gentle with care. He said the office was clean and the staff was very efficient. He was given clear written and verbal instructions as well as multiple opportunities to ask any questions prior to his procedure and before leaving. We are Nurses and would recommend Dr Kassube.

We contacted Oregon Clinic Pain Management office several times. We wanted to know would Dr. Kassube install the pump in a chronic back pain patient. Several weeks have passed, the clinic did not call back. Today we called the clinic, and to our surprise we heard short, unprofessional "we will not help you". When we ask why, we could not get the answer why, this clinic would not say why will not ...

I have seen Dr Kassube for about five years now. This doctor is absolutely the best. He is a blessing. He knows what he’s doing and will do everything possible to help those suffering with pain.

I couldn't. Have asked for a better pain management doctor! He listens! Most importantly he is empathetic and compassionate. Pain is hard to treat, mostly we are opioid shamed! Never ever has he done this to me or my sister. She started seeing him last year. Amazingly caring he is.

Listens trouble shoots and is very intelligent in his work with a good bed side manner.

Dr. Kassube and his Staff are FANTASTIC! Dr. Kassube is super personable and extremely caring! He customizes his care/treatment for the specific needs of his patients. There is not a finer Pain Doc in the Eugene/Springfield area!

Very unprofessional when I went in to have a spinal implant he had not looked at my mri and told me he could not do it due to the severity of my spine I had driven to Eugene and stayed in a motel I wasted my time and money I had the mri done a week before so he had not even looked at it until the day of surgery

In my opinion, you cannot find a better Doctor/person in the medical field. I have been his patient since 2009 & have personally recommended him to every person I have been in discussions with about injuries or pain. Every person that I have recommended him as a doctor and gotten appointments with have came & thanked me for the recommendation, and reiterating what I already know which is that he listens to everything no matter how small & unlike a lot of physicians he actually hears what you say & doesn't rush to any quick treatment plans. In my personal opinion they don't come any better than Dr.James Kassube.

Wonderful Dr. Very thorough and listens to me. I've been a patient of his since 2008 and have always been happy. His current staff are also outstanding. His physicians assistants and nurses are just as kind as he is and very professional. I highly recommend him, you won't find a better Dr.
