Jeffrey M Tuman's Online Review Report Card

The doctor performed a repair of a complete rupture of my quadriceps tendon. It is a surgery that, to be successful, should be performed within 48 hours of injury because the quadriceps withdraws up to 5 cm in two weeks. The system being what it is, delayed my diagnosis for five weeks. I had my GP order an MRI prior to my appointment with Tuman so he would know what he was dealing with on the initial examination. He was not very confident of a successful result at this late stage but had me in for surgery within one day. The clinical studies said to “exclude” patients from the procedure if the quadriceps is withdrawn 6 cm. Mine was withdrawn 8-10 cm and by then my quadriceps was fibrosis and woody. Rather than give up and leave me permanently disabled, he tackled it and successfully completed the procedure with the standard suture to patella fixation rather the suture anchor method which would have left screws in me. The man is nothing short of a magician.

Dr tuman performed rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. I suffered for over 2 1/2 years before finding him and thanks to his skills, I’ve been pain free and back to normal! Thank you so much, Dr Tuman!

Fabulous. Don’t have to have knee replacement

Dr Tuman did a great job with my shoulder replacement. The results have been excellent and have exceeded my expectations. He is a thoughtful surgeon who cares about his patients. Dr Tuamn’s staff and the entire group at Solcum was also excellent and treated me with friendly professionalism. I highly recommend both Dr. Tuman and Solcum.

Excellent doctor, very knowledgeable and compassionate. My arm gave him major problems, (my done just crumbled!), yet he miraculously put in a cadaver bone and actually still managed to get my complicated shouler revision accomplished! For that I am extremely grateful! I'll never choose another orthopedic doctor! He's very friendly and easy to talk to, he really listens. He really knows his stuff and made sure I understood everything he said. It really is kind of a miracle, because everything that could go wrong with my arm - did, but he worked hard for hours fixing it. He's dedicated to his craft. His office staff is great, too, you can always get through. Highly recommend! He's at Slocum Orthopedics in Eugene, Oregon.

everyone was so friendly and professional especially considering I was the last surgery of the day. my nurse and anesthesiologist really took the time to explain everything that was going to happen. Dr. Tuman did a great job and showed great care and compassion.

All the staff are professional and kind. Treated with respect, questions answered without a problem. I would not go anywhere else!

First time having a surgery of any kind. All staff was courteous and sympathetic and they eased my concerns at every level. Dr. Tuman was highly recommended and I am very glad he was able to perform surgery for me.

This is a busy place and can be hard to get an appointment, but once you are there, they take amazing care of you. Every staff member has been polite and helpful. I trust them with my health care needs and appreciate the kindness they show.
