Johanna Higdon's Online Review Report Card

I have two children so far both delivered through doctors at women's care in eugene. Dr Higdon was the OB assigned to me through my second pregnancy. Throughout that time Dr. Higdon accused me of dieting multiple times during the pregnancy. Baby came out at 8lbs 3 Oz, she then remarked in front of my husband "I guess you weren't dieting" completely unprofessional. When asked if we were going to try and have a third child we elected to keep our options open. It wasn't until after my second delivery that she had stated "after two C sections there's a large build up of scar tissue and it wouldn't be safe to try and have a third." That information was held until after it was too late to be taken into consideration. People require doctors to give them the risks and the full picture of possibility when receiving care. If you are like me, you didn't go to medical school and rely on your doctor to inform you of all the aspects so that you can make an informed decision, Dr. Higdon did not. Most recently, a few months ago I went in to get the Nexplanon bar removed from my arm, while my door was open Dr Higdon and her previous nurse, not the one she currently has as of Aug 2022, were discussing my weight and talking about how overweight I was. As a patient I cannot trust her to not gossip about details of my medical history, what's to stop her from violating HIPAA with you. Same Nexplanon appointment she numbed the area and was told we would begin in 5 minutes then started cutting into my arm about 45 seconds later. I asked her to stop because I could still feel everything. I do not trust her to perform even basic medical procedures. Incompetent, unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Dr. Higdon did not give valuable medical advice when necessary. She gossips with her staff about her patients. When conducting basic procedures, she ignores guidelines or information that she has given to patients. She will put you in unnecessary pain because she will not wait for you to get numb before she starts cutting. Incompetent, unprofessional amd untrustworthy.

Highly recommend Dr. Higdon as she expedited my needed surgery at Riverbend in Springfield. I live in Bend and was unable to receive care here due to Covid preventing "elective" surgeries at the hospital. I am now fully recovered and pain free thanks to Dr. Higdon's excellent care. Compassionate, kind and competent. If I could give ten stars instead of five, I would.

She’s honestly amazing ! She is really there for you. She was my ob at the end of my first pregnancy on to my second . One thing I love the most is she listens and she cares about you! She always would Explain things I didn’t really understood when it came to pregnancy. I definitely recommend her! The best

Helpful on creating plan for determining what might be the next step or thing to try. Kind and thoughtful process.

Dr. Higdon is very nice. She knows a lot but breaks it down to make things understandable. I have already sent a couple of my friends to her. She is the best!
