I've had more than my share of doctors over the years, and - hands down - Dr. Karl Saxman is the best physician I have ever had. His professionalism, caring nature, willingness to take time with you, fastidious nature and Stanford education are exemplary. He's been my doctor now for 20 years--enough said.

He takes time to listen to me, he is genially concerned, he talks to me without judging me. he will always be my favorite Doctor my only concern is that; they won't see me, after missing appointments. I suffer with a lot of pain and can't make it sometimes. They should consider these patients important, and not discard them

I'm brand new to Eugene and picked Dr. Saxman as my primary care provider. Two weeks before my first visit I got a letter saying I'd missed my appointment and to call to reschedule. I called, explained my letter, and was told I'd missed my appointment which was Aug 28 not Sept 28 as I'd been told. I explained it was a misunderstanding/mistake and wanted to reschedule. I make my appointment and all seems well.Until I got a voicemail from the office telling me that since I'd "missed" my first appointment Dr. Saxman thought it best I FIND ANOTHER PHYSICIAN.Seriously? For their mistake? And no reminder call or postcard or? I'm kind of furious but am comforted by the fact that I have fantastic insurance and he's losing a LOT of money long term and clearly he's a jerk so I'm better off. Avoid this guy.(And he can't be that popular as he had a new patient appointment available within a week so I'm pretty sure I'm not missing out)

I have been seeing Dr. Saxman for over 10 years and dealing with some chronic health issues. He is well informed on the current and newest treatments, and I get recommendations and changes to my treatment as soon as they are published and normally before I am informed from other sources. Currently he was testing for Vitamin D3 levels several months before I heard about it being a good practice. When I signed up with my new health care plan, we were already doing all the "latest and greatest" ways to treat my situation. Excellent care, very through, and he does spend time answering your questions, but you have to ask them. Do expect him to read your mind, my wife can't even do that with me.
