Dr Mertz takes the time to really listen, and you are treated like your symptoms really matter. She helped me through a gynecological issue I had as well as through a pregnancy, and she was wonderful.

Went to her for my 16 week check up since my regular ob wasn’t available. She was highly impersonal and berated me about gaining weight, I had only gained about 7 pounds and am otherwise in normal weight range. I normally have a lot of anxiety at doctor’s appointments and she did not make the situation any better. Overall very poor experience and will refuse to see her in the future.

Started seeing her mid 2nd pregnancy. Knowing i had anxiety she berated me my entire appt that basically it was her way or the highway. No bedside manner, no compasion or understanding for mental health.

She is amazing, respectful. Calming. She takes her time and does not make you feel ruhed through. She explains everything clearly and goes over and beyond to make sure you understand. Her presents alone is just overall very calming

She is so thoughtful and caring. She's not just a amazing Doctor she's also a amazing women. I had many issues; anxiety and I don't mix well. She kept my nerves down and was always reassuring. I couldn't be more grateful for such a amazing Doctor.

Horrible experience from the staff who had me fill out all of the wrong paperwork, to a nurse who wasn't sure what she needed to do with me, to Dr. Mertz who was a complete ditz and flake. When I spoke to her and told her the medication that is extremeley common and has been on the market for 20 years, she said she had never heard of it. Then I told her that I agreed to an exam, but not to a pap smear because I had just had one done two weeks previously by my out of state doctor. I got the prescription, but it was wrong. Because it had been filled, the nurse told me "to do the best I could". Imagine my surprise a month later when I get my lab results in the mail for a pap smear. I contested it saying that I did not have one done that day. They said she did. cried. I felt violated.

Dr. Katria Mertz is very caring and treats you like a real person. She's easy to talk to and explains everything in a way that you can understand. As far as I am concerned she is the only OB/GYN I am willing to see. Feeling comfortable and unafraid to ask questions is so very important. Love Dr. Mertz!
