Such an amazing doctor. The whole orthopedic team is beyond amazing. I don’t think I met a staff that generally has concerns for every patient with so much knowledge and kindness. They definitely made my daughters anxiety disappear and for that I’m so thankful.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The provider we seen today we very direct and to the point ( we like those kind of doctors and not the ones who string you along and waist your time) we look forward to having him as a provider for our daughter.

I saw Dr Koestler for severe knee pain not attributable to any trauma. He explains what the x-rays show and what his examination shows. He answers questions clearly, and describes treatment choices. Slocum "rapid access" works smoothly to get in quickly. The only dissatisfaction is that they don't provide visit summary. You've got to pay attention to what's said since it's not written down.

So thankful, that I was able to be seen in the afternoon of the morning I called! On a Monday as well! I was in and out, and everyone was very pleasant and professional! I highly recommend Slocum!

I have never had such an efficient experience in a medical setting. I arrived early, as requested, to check-in. Completed that and was sent upstairs. Before I could even sit down they called my name. They took me back for x-rays and said someone would be there to take me back to the doctor. It was a couple of minutes and the doctor was in the room in no time. Dr. Koester was thorough, but quick. I didn't feel rushed, but got the answers I needed. Highly recommend SLOCUM in general, and Dr. Koester.

This was the epitome of an efficient medical visit. Little to no waiting time. The diagnostic x-rays were taken mere minutes after I arrived in the appropriate lobby waiting area. I was then led back to Dr. Koester's exam room where a medical assistant took my blood pressure and asked some general questions. Within minutes Dr. Koester came into the exam room to consult with me on my knee issue. After discussing the findings of the diagnostic x-rays I was examined and prescribed a regimen to heal my knee. This was our family's second experience with Dr. Koester as he recently saw my wife for her knee issue. Her experience was equally impressive... this really is an efficiently-run facility. I now understand firsthand why my neighbors in Independence recommended it so highly. My only advice, don't bring a book... you won't have time to read it! 😁
