List of Rensie Chiara R De Vera Md's Reviews
I have been seeing her several times a year for six years. She is pleasant, professional and found previously unidentified and rather unusual medical problems. She listens when I talk and knows her stuff. I am fat. She has never fat-shamed me or dwelt on the issue other than a little gentle encouragement. I would recommend her services to others unconditionally.
TOTALLY FAT-PHOBIC NIGHTMARE. This Dr is super fat-shamey, and the first time I went to see her, she talked about my weight for 10 straight minutes, then after I said I no longer wanted to discuss my weight, went on to talk about it for 10 more minutes, including telling me that I have risks for high blood pressure and pre-diabetes. When I asked her if that was indicated on my chart, she said, "Oh, um..." and picked up my chart to read it for the first time. Actually I am not at risk for either of those things. She also ordered me a totally unnecessary invasive procedure from my gynecologist, that luckily they were able to let me know I did not need. Second appointment with her was one I do not remember even making. When I asked what it was for, it was for a "weight check." She literally brought in the mother of small children during a pandemic, just to make sure I wasn't any fatter. Unconscionable. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.
I’ve loved having Dr. De Vera as my PCP. She is always thorough and listens to all of my concerns. I’ve never felt like she rushed through my appts or didn’t listen.
After being dissatisfied with Dr. De Vera's initial analysis and a couple of follow up calls, I was just told to "find someone else" if I wasn't happy with her treatment. Her office is treating my health concerns like I'm an unhappy customer at a fast food chain.
St De Vera has been my primary physician for several years. She has always been attentive and thorough. My husband went to one of my visits and now she is his doctor too.
She really cares about her patients.
She’s ok. Competent and pleasant, at least. She talks a lot, and very fast, I have real trouble following her. Listens a lot less than she talks. Seems eager to prescribe Rx. Has repeatedly told me that I have a blood pressure problem she wants to medicate me for, when what I actually have is extreme anxiety about the BP test process, which always spikes my numbers. If I could find another PCP, I would, but I’m stuck for now. When possible, I prefer seeing any other provider in her office.
Dr. De Vera never took my concerns seriously, attributing them falsely to anxiety. She did not make an appropriate referral for a specialist consult. Instead, she tried to interpret a specialist report without even reading it, and then referred me haphazardly to three places, two of which did not take me seriously because they were influenced by her lack of belief in what I was saying. I endured a traumatic process of not being believed, which led to worsening of my mental health and a lack of opportunity to have appropriate therapies to help slow down my serious and progressive disease. Finally, I saw a doctor I should have seen six weeks prior, who could see what I had been trying to explain without my even using words. He knew exactly how to direct my care. And after that, I was finally allowed to have another doctor for my primary care. It was a serious trial and I don't wish a similar experience on anyone.
Dr. De Vera is a very thoughtful, thorough and professional doctor.
Met her for the first time and she was able to listen to all my issues and complete them in a professional and timely manner I didn't even feel rushed

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
