Okay, why a two star review? When treating Hashimoto’s (hypothyroid), there are a plethora of things that go wrong with the body due to this autoimmune attack. Dr Susan Sanderson is clueless as to the most effective ways to treat Hashimoto’s (aside from thyroid replacement). She doesn’t understand how to heal the gut with diets such as paleo and AIP, and just how crucial such protocols are. Go anywhere else; save yourself time and headache.

She is very knowledgeable about her specialty but her ‘bedside manner’ is terrible. She is borderline rude, Abrupt and seems annoyed you are taking up her time. Will not return nor recommend.

I couldn't believe Dr. Sanderson only gets 2 stars. She is spectacular. She not only watches my synthroid dose carefully but also manages my osteoporosis as well as monitoring a tiny lump in my throat. She is extremely competent and meticulous.

I never even got to meet Dr. Sanderson, as I was always seen only by the Physician's Assistant, who was pretty good but limited in authority. The PA had to consult with Dr. Sanderson and get back to me later. I asked a number of reasonable questions about my blood test numbers and received an email from Dr. Sanderson indicating that she was not willing to go beyond the most basic TSH and A1C tests to provide more individualized care, and that I should consult an "academic" endocrinologist.
