The entire team at OMG and Dr. Lakhani are great to work with. One of my first endos to listen to me, my concerns and work on addressing them.

Finally, a doctor that really looks you in the eye, pays attention, listens and then treats you. Doesn't send you off to another doctor but actually treats you. He's stabilized my health so much.

a Doctor with a sense of humor is always a good thing! I have been seeing Dr Lakhani for years - my visits are simple and fast and when something is needed he makes sure it is addressed. People need to realize that the issue could be themselves and everybody can have a bad day. I always leave there with a smile and so does Dr Lakhani. Thank you

Came in for a common thyroid issue. Treated like a piece of meat. Doctor did not listen to concerns, would not answer any direct questions about the proposed medication. Danced around every question I asked. Also unwilling to consider my concerns about side effects saying that "none of HIS patients feel unhappy with their thyroid treatment" and the only "about 1% of (his) patients have any side effects." When you look up that medication , 17% of patients stop taking it because of side effects, so 99% of his patients must be magical to get none. Short story is that if you have a thyroid issue, see another endocrinologist. This one is not a keeper.

Dr Lakhani is caring and explains medical details in a way the average person can understand.

I had to schedule three months ahead for an appointment here (due to their schedule, not mine), office closed due to weather on a Thursday, answering service said doctor went on vacation instead of clearing backlog on Friday. I was offered an appointment in another three months for a total of a six month wait before ever meeting this doctor. Update - still waiting over a year later. Additionally, a doctor being overloaded is not the patient's fault. The review stands.

If you are on levothyroxine and looking for help from Dr. Lakhani for symptoms of mental fog, weight gain, and other symptoms for hypothyroidism, you will do better to find a functional medicine doctor rather than an endocrinologist. This doctor has no bedside manner, and will not consider other options such as Cytomel (T3).

I am new to the area and had to find a new endocrinologist. Dr. Lakhani spent more time with me than many of my previous physicians and explained the path ahead of me. I would recommend Dr. Lakhani to anyone who needs a really terrific endocrinologist!

Dr. Lakhani is very warm and knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things to me in a way that is both detailed and easy to understand. He helps me to have the information I need to be empowered to make my own decisions about my care, rather than just directing things himself. Each time I meet with him I feel that we have all the time we need and that I matter to him as a patient. He makes diabetes manageable!

Dr. Lakhani is one of the most, if the THE most patient and caring doctor I have ever been treated by. As a 23 year old, Type 1 diabetic, I have had my share of physical AND mental issues surrounding my disease and it is very rare that a doctor takes the time to thoroughly address each and every concern - Vipul lakhani not only does that, but he does so with a genuinity and compassion. If I ever have to move or he for some reason leaves my area, I will for sure be stuck with a LESSER care provider. He is top-notch to say the least and I am eternally grateful.
