List of Stephen S Kerner Do's Reviews
Dr kerner told me I had 5 cavities then proceeded to fix one and schedule the other 4. I doubted him so much I went to another dentist to check after I allowed him to fix one. I had no cavities. The one he fixed needed a root canal because he touched the nerve and killed it. This man is a complete FRAUD!
Horrible dentist. No compassion. Had work done by him that all had to be re-done. Wouldn’t freeze me for a root canal and didn’t do it properly. Left root behind that resulted in infection. Overbooks and leaves you waiting for well over an hour. Arrogant and incompetent.
Had dental work done over 6 month period. Dr. Kerner was consciencous, good chairside manner, thorough, did exceptional job related to cosmetic dentistry, and overall did a good job.
For some reason the other dentist at this practice is not listed on this website. She is HORRIBLE and gave me the worst medical experience of my life. Extremely painful x-rays, insisted that I needed braces and that my teeth were a mess, scaled and filed down my teeth and I think she permanently damaged them. They have been incredibly sensitive ever since. I went to a top rated dentist listed on this site and they assured me that my teeth are excellent and that braces would be a waste of $8000! I think they stay in business because their practice is located in the middle of downtown.
terrible. he has no respect for his assistant, calls her on names. should give up his business, instead of taking peoples money for the job he is doing.
Very nice person, but from the beginning I felt that he was trying to sell me all kinds of services which I did not need. He did a lot of work on my teeth, but not necessarily needed. I have changed dentist since.
No confidence at all in him. Had to have a crown redone by another dentist who found severe decay underneath Dr. Kerner's handiwork. I was reimbursed but he was not pleasant and had his nurse deal with it. Fortunately I had photos as proof. More disturbingly, he showed no concern whatsoever for my tooth or my health. It's good to be helpful but more important to be competent.
I saw this dentist following recommendations from a friend of mine. He seemed trustworthy and knowledgeable at first and recommended all my fillings be redone. He also said that he knew how to do crowns for implants and I forked out the few thousand dollars to fix my dental woes. However, I now have gum recession and bone loss on that tooth and have had to pay another couple of thousands of dollars to have this tooth redone. I am just glad that it was picked up before I lost the tooth and needed a bone-graft. As a healthcare professional myself, I am not confident in this dentist and feel that I was misled.
I caught him double billing (both me and my insurance company). After I complained, they wanted to give me a "credit" instead of reimbursing me. As if I will ever go there again. He was very rough with the standard cleaning and sprayed that toothpaste stuff all over my face before I had to go to work. Inconsiderate of patient comfort and disrespectful of time. I had to come back twice because they didn't schedule enough time to do the simple procedure I asked for in the first place. Come back once, I understand, but twice is wasting my time. I will not be returning.
He improperly fitted a crown on a back molar, which was immediately picked up when I changed dentists. I nearly lost my tooth!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
